Open barrel racing events, winner takes all, no rider age limits or horse size categories. The goal is to complete the pattern as quickly as possible.

Barrel racing is an exciting and fast-paced event where riders and their horses attempt to complete a clover-leaf pattern around three barrels. The time is either being watched by an electronic eye and or by an attendant. The timer starts when the horses and riders cross the start line, and it ends when they gallop across the finish line.
