Spectators on foot are free, however parking for spectators is in Mcgoverns at €10 per vehicle. Stewards will direct you at the crossroads on arrival at Drumcoura City and from there to the arena.

Fun dog barrel racing class this Sunday May 12th , with one prize for 1st place.🐕🐕‍🦺🦮

Rosettes for 1st to 6th.
€3 one run €5 for two runs

Some rules to keep everyone safe 😊👍

This is a fun unaffiliated event. All levels of handling skills are very welcome.

All dogs (over age of 6 months) and all age handlers are welcome. U16 supervised please by an adult.
Handlers must be capable of leading and controlling their dog in a safe manner. Small children may be accompanied by an adult of course 😊
ALL DOGS intending to take part in the barrel racing MUST register on arrival at entries office.
Toys are allowed to help your dog.
​Handler may help or gently guide dog.

Handler must keep the dog on leash at ALL TIMES but must not harshly pull them.
No food of any kind will be allowed in the ring.
No touching or banging the barrels

You will get a time and a handler score will be recorded, handlers scores will be used only in the event of a tie.

The placings will be on dogs time crossing the beam.

We recommend for welfares sake that if you have made 2 entries that both runs are not consecutive. Water will be available for dogs.

We do not discriminate against any dog or handler because of a disability. Accommodations will be made for dog or handler as best we can, we want this to be a fun and memorable experience for both dog and handler.

NOTE
All dogs may run either in a collar or harness. The collar must not have anything hanging from it for safety. A choke collar, prong collar, electric collar, any kind of correctional collars are not permitted.
The leash must be made of material or leather, a chain leash is NOT permitted while running.

***Leash may not exceed 6 feet in length ****

When waiting to go in next, please be mindful of the dog and handler that is currently in the ringand give them space.

We would ask that dogs must be at least 6 months of age to compete for safety and welfare.

If a dog is repeatedly running loose while another dog is in the ring, the loose dog will be asked to leave and may be disqualified.

There will be no aggressive dogs permitted. If a dog repeatedly shows signs of aggression, it will be asked to leave.

If your 4legged friend is on the restricted dogs list they MUST in accordance with the Control of Dogs Act 1986 wear a muzzle at all times.

We want to keep this fun so excessive over-correcting of your dog will not be allowed.

You MUST clean up after your dog.

May12th ONLY - this is a FUN once off competition with a lovely Dog barrel racing champion 2024 Dog tag for the winner. Fancy dress optional for fun.
