The latest scarf is off the loom, washed, dried and had all the ends trimmed. Handspun yarn was made on my ever faithful Ashford Traditional called Janet and woven on a Ashford rigid heddle loom.
Paired with a lovely handknit jumper that I found in the local SPCA charity shop and a vintage John Swan houndstooth tweed jacket.

We were delighted to attend and present an award at the Ballinglen biennial exhibition, Ballinglen Arts Foundation . Congratulations to Ann Kavanagh . We had an amazing night , congratulations to all involved. It is really an amazing exhibition, with such an eclectic array of work, not to be missed.

All in the village of Ballycastle and environs would like to wish our new shop owner, Mary Donnelly the very best with the opening of Donnellys Village store which will take place on Monday morning, March the 27th

Mary said that all was in place regarding the shop in the old Convent Building on Main Street. And she thanked everyone for their help over the last few months getting everything ready.

Word of the closure of our local post office came as a shook to all in the community but thanks to Mary she is pleased to inform the community the post office will reopen on the 17th of April to coincide with the shop

She hopes the village will rally around and support her going forward.

She will publish opening times in due course
