We built a world, just you and I
A quiet rhythm, a shared sky.
Coffee cups and Sunday walks,
Soft glances more than daily talks.
The bubble held us safe and near,
A space where love drowned out the fear.
Now silence hums where laughter lay,
And ordinary things feel far away.
The chair you sat in holds its shape,
The scent of you has yet to fade.
I reach for words l'd say to you,
But echoes answer, faint and blurred.
This loneliness it's not just pain, It's missing what won't come again.
The daily smallness of our two
A touch, a sigh, a shared "me too."
Yet still I rise, and still I ache, And still I walk, though hearts do break.
For loving you was worth the cost, Even in this hollow of all that is lost.
