As we have surpassed €16,5k at this stage, my two daughters think it would be a great idea to have me dressed in 'drag' for the €30k threshold. I suggest, unless RuPaul or Panty Bliss takes command here, maybe one of you out there have a better idea - no rush, there's a bit of time..

May I thank everyone who's made it possible to reach and surpass €15k, especially my brother Christian who contributed 1/3 of the sum. On the way to the venue I dropped in at Milford Hospice where Valerie accepted the 3. cheque of €1000 on behalf of the hospice. Nicola of Irish Cancer Society was then presented with the 3. cheque of €4000 , so in total €15k have been donated to the two causes, and I earned it to get rid of the beard - I feel a bit light-headed now...

Amazingly storm Eowyn had very little impact on us here in north Cork. My thoughts however go out to all those worse affected and still being within the storms path as it is making its way further northeast.

On the way to the 'beard shearing' event tonight in Bradshaws, Castleconnell, I popped in to the Milford Hospice to present a cheque to Valerie who accepted it on behalf of the Hospice.

Can't say that I will miss the bush in my face - thank you to everyone who made it possible to achieve and surpass the €15k threshold, allowing me to harvest the growth of a year and a bit.

Dear friends of Blackwater Castle,

as I am reflecting over the past year and the most recent loveliest, enjoyable and memorable event here at the Castle, I am both reminded and reassured in why we are keeping the Castle open to guests - to enable everyone to have a venue and the opportunity to get together with all their friends, buddies, loved ones and together create invaluable everlasting memories.
The Roches are documented to have been famous for their hospitality and in keeping with their tradition we are doing our best to live up to their legacy. Have a lovely Christmas and a happy New Year, everyone
Greetings,
Patrick

I am truly blessed with great friends! We were having our usual last-Thursday-of-the-month-session when out of the blue John Loftus, who himself recently had organised a fundraising event for the Irish Cancer Society (we were playing at that gig) presented me with considerable cash donation for Sheila’s Cancer Campaign - https://gofund.me/444a91a4

The deed is done - today I met with both Nicola from Irish Cancer Society and Melissa at the Milford Hospice in Limerick to hand over the result of the 2nd round of fundraising, €4000 and €1000 respectively. Sheila's Cancer Campaign has to this day raised and handed over €10.000 to the two causes.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone making this happen!!!

Please continue to share and support - the next to happen is the public sacrifice of The Beard, and we are only €5k away.

Every family today has a cancer story to tell, and even though there are increasingly more stories of success, the sheer amount of sad stories is overwhelming. To bring the day closer when cancer has been overcome as a deadly disease and enabling millions of people the opportunity of a full meaningful life, the best we can do is to put as many resources into cancer research, enabling scientists around the world working together finding the answer.

Please help and support by sharing this post and donating.

On Sheila’s behalf and from me, heartfelt thanks!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Thanks to the continuous support from all of you, Sheila’s Cancer Campaign has now raised over €10.000!! since we began doing this and we've already been able to present cheques to the recipients of the causes in the past.
I will meet with a representative from the Irish Cancer Society and the Milford hospice in the near future to hand over another cheque to the value of €4000 and €1000 respectively.

I am funding this campaign entirely out of my own funds and it is my intention to forward 100% of the donations to the mentioned causes - 80% to the Irish Cancer Society and 20% to Milford Hospice - so please be generous - and please share the heck out of this post, and all the following ones.

On Sheila’s behalf and from the bottom of my heart – Thank You!
Patrick Nordstrom
