I had the pleasure to officiate Edwina and Daniel's wedding ceremony last week in the St. Catherine's Heritage and Cultural center in Kinsale. It is a little gem location for any couples looking for a wedding ceremony venue.

I have been a wedding celebrant now since 2017 and love every single second of it.

Covid-19 Updates for Weddings.
Micro Weddings;
One thing that we’ve seen is that where people can, they’re going ahead with a small legal ceremony with the required social distancing and maybe planning a big celebration afterwards.
Planning a wedding can be slightly overwhelming so micro weddings can offer a beautifully intimate alternative and offer greater flexibility. Once the pressure is off from trying to organise a big wedding, it can be liberating! You have the freedom to make decisions and spend time on the finer details that really reflect you and your partner.

As I look at my diary and realise that my son, Ben, has been married nearly a full year, I look back in reflection on the wonderful weekend last February when we celebrated his marriage to Sharmila. I want to thank you, Kathryn, for making their sacred ceremony so special. You were so gentle and compassionate as you lead the ceremony and it proved to be the most remarkable wedding I have ever witnessed. Your humanity and humour were also greatly appreciated. I don’t think any of us stopped crying or laughing throughout. You made the tender moments ones to remember always and the funny moments added both warmth and empathy to the occasion. I also thought your ideas for the extra touches, the sand ceremony and the tea lights lit by all members of the wedding, were extraordinarily simple yet powerful symbols of unity between the two families and we talk about those moments still. So, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, a year on, for making Ben and Sharmila’s wedding ceremony a truly remarkable and heartfelt union of two very beautiful and very happy young people.
