RiseUp SoundSystem Riseup is a club night started in cork in 2010 Reppin’ the dirty south - Cork City Ireland - the RiseUp! Operated by Conor Jonezy, the RiseUp! RiseUp!

Soundsystem was born out of two things: a need for high quality sound with a bass rumble to fire up the dance; and a strong respect for soundsystem culture and craft. Soundsystem has its origins in the club night of the same name, which brought the highest profile names in bass music to Cork such as Mala, Loefah DBridge and Objekt to Cork. helped lay the foundations of the underground scene there

today. A reggae-head since he was a kid, Jonezy always had an interest in soundsystem culture and wanted to build his own. So in 2012, the research began and by 2014 the first Riseup! Sound speakerboxes were being cut from Scandinavian birch ply with support from Jonezy’s Dad (Tom Jones) – a trained chippy. In 2016, RiseUp! Sound began to power gigs around the country, including a series of now imfamous dances at the Kino Cinema, Cork. Today it comprises 6 bins, 6 mids and 4 tops, with a total rated output of 16kw. 2 bins, 2 mids and 2 tops are soon to be added.

There goes another one!

2024 was a massive year for the RiseUp soundsystem! I never thought I would be in the position to contribute to so many amazing events and work with so many talented people ! Big ❤️ to all the promoters and event organisers who put their faith in me to provide them with top quality sound!

2025 is already looking like it will be even busier with the calendar filling up fast. Give us a shout if you need sound for any event big or small! I will also be branching out and purchasing 2 high quality stretch tents! These will be arriving February.

Last but not least BigUp! All the Ravers,Dancers, prancers and head nodders. Without you, soundsystem is nothing!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥🍄

Jowy is a Dublin-based DJ with roots in Ghana, India and Surinam, born in Amsterdam. She was a participant in the Skin&Blister DJ workshops. She has been on support for artists such as Bakey, Conducta, Jeff mills, Sammy Virji, Jayda g and more. Her style combines a mix of Bass heavy genres such as afro/carribean inspired riddims, Ukg, Breaks, Grime, Drums, Baile funk, and more

She is the founder of foxgluv, which is a platform with the aim to create a space for all, but specifically created to highlight female, non binary, and trans creatives with a diverse range of genres and backgrounds

t-woc Is an Irish producer & DJ known for blending genres, both in his own productions - of which he has 3 albums and dozens of singles released, and his DJ sets. A compulsive digger of vinyl for many years, he focuses on playing out dance floor oddities and grooves. He is one half of the party starting duo - Different Rhythm with Pablo Santo and a regular selector for Firehouse Skank & Backstory amongst others.

We kick off @ 9pm & there will be a samba band/dancing for a few hours before that too.

We’ll be setting up the rig for a street party at central plaza on dame street in Dublin from 9pm - 12am 😁

& myself will be at the controls playing all kinds of soundsystem music! 🔥🔥

& will be running rigs in different parts of the city as part of the same event celebrating soundsystem culture !

Delighted to announce the acts & Times for our stage at this year. We’ll be in the Croí area under a big stretch tent.

will be kicking off every night with cypher sessions . A cypher is a gathering of a hip hop artists coming together to create music on the fly . This can also include members of the audience so call down if you’ve got rhymes!!

After this RiseUp! Soundsystem Riddims take over and the tunes become bass heavy! Expect Jungle/Dubstep/Garage/Dub/Rave/Bass/Dancehall you’ll probably hear us before you see us 😁

Feeling blessed to have a bunch of amazing gigs coming up over the next couple of months. You can catch the RiseUp! Sound at the following locations up and down the country!!

13th July - Limerick - really looking forward to another alley party in pharmacia!! These always go off

18th - 29th July - The rig will be living in the factory for the duration of the Galway arts festival. Nights like , , , will be using it for their party’s. The lineup for the 2 weeks is soooo good!!

4th august - ♥️♥️

10th August - Lee rowing club - Shane Johnson

15th- 18th august - I’ll be running my own stage in the Croi area of electric picnic. The lovely will be curating the evening sessions and then RiseUp Sounds will take over! Expect to see lots of RiseUp! regulars alongside some extra special guests!! The full rig will be in action for the whole weekend!

23rd - 24th august - have asked us to do sound in the Tipi tent for the weekend, Really looking forward to this one the lineup is wicked!

31st August - Dublin ???? / Lee rowing club - Mor disco

Friday 20th September - Heading to Dublin with the rig for an extra special outdoor culture night party and also DJing somewhere wicked after!

2 Gigs with the soundsystem this weekend Starting off with in an Spalpin tomorrow then onto the Saturday.

I’ll also be playing vinyl techno sets at both, it’s been about 8 years since I played techno on vinyl but I still got it 😂. Really looking forward to it & both lineups are wicked!

Get to know the wonderful Dj egg !!

DJ Egg is a multifaceted artist and music selector known for their bass-heavy cuts. Their energetic and unique style has earned them recognition from club owners and promoters in Ireland and the UK. They have a passion for Jungle, Footwork, and Club music and have gone from hosting queer-centered events since 2017 to performing across both Ireland and the UK since.

DJ Egg is also the organizer of D**e Nite in Limerick City, a popular event for le****ns and their peers in the midwest of Ireland, which recently celebrated its third sold-out party and received a GALAS nomination for the best event of the year. They hold a residency at DDR since 2020 and have supported artists like Kode9, Diessa, Nikki Nair, Breaka and performed at club nights such as Club Sylkie, Club Comfort, Ar Ais Aris, Honeypot, Dublin Modular ,Alternating Currents, and Sim Simma at the 'All Together Now' festival.

RiseUp! Is back next month with Dublin DJ,label boss, promoter and all round legend EMA !!

Her work as a DJ, founder of label/party Woozy, booker for Dublin nightclub Yamamori Tengu, Rinse FM resident and co-founder of the Skin&Blister collective is exhaustive, highlighting a relentless work ethic that has inspired a foundational infrastructure for her and those in her orbit to prosper.
Operating as a conduit to the on-going mutations of low-end futurism, EMA’s selections warp rhythmic advances around a respected tradition in sub weight. Rigorously informed by the foundational lineage of dub-inspired club music, she encompasses not only the sounds but also the unity mentality of her influences. Her application of this ethos to mix crafting is sensational, pairing evocative wub narratives with a penchant for screw-face bass anthems. Big thanks to everyone who booked the soundsystem for their events last year! It was the first year of RiseUp as a business and it went way beyond expectations. Big love to all the ravers too! Without ye it wouldn't be possible.

2024 is filling up fast but I still have plenty of dates free so get in touch if you need any sound/lighting/stage/dj equipment! I'm getting another load of gear soon so no party is too big or small! I’ll be extending the big rig over the coming months and I'll have it out at a few festivals over the summer which will be revealed soon 😁

RiseUp radio is back on this Friday from 8 with an hour of bass and jungle.
