Some very welcome news from Derry City Airport! It's now even easier to escape to Corcreggan Mill 🥰

EasyJet announced new flights will be available from Liverpool and Edinburgh from November.

Both routes will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays throughout the year – making them ideal for a weekend break in Donegal!

"...wanting to have a few nights away with the kids plus dog, we booked into Corcreggan Mill- what a gem !

A tranquil, relaxing setting with a quirky array of accommodation options. We chose to stay in one of the beautifully-equipped Bell Tents, although there was also the railway carriage, boat, bed and breakfast rooms to choose from.

The hosts were divine, as were all the staff. We were fortunate to stay over on a Friday night when traditional musicians were playing, duly supported in singing and music by local families and other quests- Ireland in its prime!

We cooked on BBQs on site as well as in the communal kitchen - perfect for hikers or bike packers not wanting to carry much cooking gear.

I'll certainly be back, likely several times, with the kids, and maybe even a sneaky bike packing trip too !

The team are partnering up with Helen O’Hagan from An Panc Patisserie to teach us everything we need to know about chocolate...

This is perfect if you want to have a fun day out with family or friends, or even come along on your own! You’ll learn all about making great scones, the perfect pastry & pie fillings and then to top it all off we’ll be making gorgeous chocolate truffles.

Meet this summer's resident musicians at Corcreggan Mill! 🎻

Aoibhín and Nia come from the beautiful Gaeltacht of Gaoth Dobhair, bringing with them a rich musical heritage rooted in the traditional music and song of North West Donegal.

Both talented fiddle players in their own right, they also love to sing traditional Irish songs learned from their family and neighbours since childhood.

Táimid iontach tógtha go mbeidh Aoibhín agus Nia linn i rith an tsamhraidh, agus táimid ag dúil go mór lena gcuid ceoil agus amhrán a chloisteál i Muileann Chorr Chreagáin gach seachtain!

Narosa Life Kids Surf Camps are well underway and are the perfect activity to keep the young ones occupied in the summer holidays!

Available for children from 6 - 16, the camps run week-long blocks, one session per day, from Monday to Friday. The kids will learn to handle the surfboards, perfect their paddling technique, and catch waves with the correct surf stance.

Errigal, the giant of Donegal, is the tallest mountain in the region and only a 30-minute drive from Corcreggan Mill.

The 4km long hike with an elevation gain of 500m takes just over 2 hours to complete and makes for a great day out for regular hikers.

What an incredible capture from Gareth Wray Photography of one of our favourite beaches. Only a 15-minute drive from Corcreggan Mill, Marble Hill has something for everyone.

Enjoy a long stroll with the family, fuelled by coffee and treats from The Shack or sit 'out' to enjoy some occasional sunshine.

There's lots of adventure to be had on Marble Hill too, with cliff jumping at Harry's Hole, paddle boarding on a calm day or a surfing lesson with Narosa when the swell comes in.
