*Self-esteem and confidence building. The Mini Star Programme gives your little star a performance class that works on Musical Theatre skills including Singing, Movement, Stage presence and Acting. It will help prepare beginners for the stage and strengthen those who are already a little bit closer to being “Broadway bound”! They will be introduced to basic music theory such as rhythm and pitch and will sing, act and dance their little hearts away to their favorite Disney classics, movies and chart songs of their choice. Tutors: NORA KAVANAGH holds a Research Masters Degree in Contemporary Performance Practice & a First Class Honors Degree in Drama from the University of Ulster and has been the drama teacher at An Grianan theatre for the past 12 years. A multi-disciplined facilitator and performer, Nora has taught for Stardom Express, Dynamic Waves, Cosa Meata, North West Arts Academy, Donegal Downs Syndrome Society and Making Waves Productions. Nora and her Jazz Ensemble have performed at weddings and festivals around the country and recently toured her dance group ‘THE DONEGAL WEAVERS’ in Southern Spain and previously performed in Inverness last year representing Chloich cheann fhaola Comhaltas. Winning The Greer Garson Award for theatrical excellence directing ‘Dario fo’s The Open Couple’, encouraged Nora to continue directing and recently produced and directed ‘Environment The Musical ‘ at An Grianan Theatre. Nora has been a world contender in Irish dance and now teaches at her own Dance School with teams taking 3rd place in Fleadh Ceol na hEireann. Nora is passionate about Drama, Dance, Music & Song and its ability to build confidence, bring people together and lift the soul. TRUDY O DONNELL holds a Masters Degree in Music & a First Class Honors Degree from University of Ulster along with a Master’s Degree in Education and is a renowned, established and accomplished musician, music teacher and musical director from Letterkenny. She is an experienced instrumentalist in various genres of music and has won numerous awards and achievements, including three All-Ireland titles at Fleadh Ceoil Ná hEireann, which is the highest award attainable in the field of Irish Music. She has been actively involved on and off stage with a number of local Musical Societies and performing arts academies, including North West Opera, The Letterkenny Musical Society, Dynamic Waves, Making waves productions, Blue Ribbon Arts and Jump Start. Over the years, Trudy has also directed and produced numerous school productions at primary and secondary levels through the medium of English and Irish. Trudy has many years of experience in Irish Dancing which saw her compete at World level and win first place at All-Ireland and Ulster level. Her music has taken her to various countries throughout the world, where she has performed at many festivals, weddings, shows, gala nights and corporate events. She also composes her own music, has arranged, directed and recorded numerous musical and choral pieces with groups, bands and other solo artists. Her passion for the Irish language enables Trudy to carry out her tuition and performances 'As Gaeilge'. Trudy has a wealth of musical talent and knowledge and thrives on passing it on to young, aspiring musicians and performers. Our classes take place in Gaoth Dobhair, Falcarragh and Letterkenny. Our tutors at On Cue are also available for facilitating in community schemes, school projects, shows, concerts, Summer/Easter/Halloween camps, pre-school activities and working with teachers on an 'Introduction to music and drama for Primary Schools' module.
