A further amazing album release by Our forthcoming Guest this time round alongside Mr Dave Lee (Joey Negro)

Through his many compilations, Mr. Lee has delved deep into the heart of a specific genre or era and selected lesser-known tracks that give a real insight into the spirit & energy that made that point in time so special. Whether it’s GoGo, Brit Funk, Boogie, Italo house or straight up Disco, he has delved deep into his extensive bank of influences and also enlisted the help of some of his most clued-up comrades in offering unforgettable collections of classics.

This time he’s been joined by Neil Pierce as co-compiler for this second collection of their favourite moments across a definitive decade for House & Garage: the 90’s. Volume 2 includes material from Satoshi Tomiie, UFO, Slam Mode, Joi Cardwell and Alexander Hope as well as remixes from Kings of Tomorrow, Kerri Chandler, Marshall Jefferson, Tommy Musto and Smack Productions. The compilation is packed with sultry vocal lines and the sort of slick, irresistible grooves that defined the era.

Dave and Neil have dug out music that may have previously ‘slipped under the radar’ meaning a lot of the tracks included here are being digitised for the very first time.

In searching deeper & wider than the average compilation, the package provides a thorough insight into why this was such a fertile period for production. It gives a nod to the sort of drum patterns, sampling techniques and vocal lines that have inspired the likes of Bicep, Brawther and Huxley amongst many more.

A Historic album which was released by Neil Pierce and Aaron Ross (Fanatix) solidified in Soulful Music History..

Fanatix were the first UK production team to have a release on Kenny Dope’s Dope Wax Record label. They’ve made a name for themselves both remixing high caliber artists such as Blaze, Terri Walker, Ultra Nate, Dennis F & Kenny Bobien; and touring the world (Brazil, Dubai, Asia, North America and beyond).

Their first ever long player, This Thing Of Ours, is a blend of the finest House music featuring the cream of UK & U.S musicians and vocalists. From musical soulful journeys to deep techy tracks and sample based mash ups, the album has something for everyone to enjoy.

Featured vocal artists on the album are Sara Divine – whose long standing artistic relationship with Louie Vega has seen her release soulful house classics such as ‘Special’ & ‘Never Forget’; Shaun Escoffery – famous for the house classic ‘Days Like This’, who delivers the goods in this emotional appearance on the LP; X Factor finalist Dionne Mitchell – who shines with a big voice that rivals diva’s from across the pond; and finally Alex Mills – whose sweet R n B sound has been recognized by Chris Blackwell and signed up to his new record label Black Punk.

Behind the scenes there are the mighty Toni Economides: the man behind the sonic of Fanatix’ Productions and one of the world’s leading dance music mix engineers and Albert Menendez, responsible for the music on a number of the album tracks… This Cuban born, Miami raised keyboardist has a talent on par with the all time greats – his work with Masters At Work is some of their best. For This Thing Of Ours he has enlisted the help of possibly the world’s best bass player, Gene Perez, who regularly shares a stage with George Benson, and the amazingly talented keyboard player and songwriter Mike Patto, member of Reel People and Restless Soul.

McCabe made his name in house, developing a long-running relationship with legendary US garage label King Street Sounds and remixing the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Evelyn Champagne King, Roy Ayers, Blaze, and Todd Terry. Since then, he’s amassed an impressive discography, delivering inspired reworks for labels like Z Records, Local Talk, Strictly Rhythm, Vega Records, Tribe, and Quantize. A quick listen to any of his productions or one of his superb DJ sets will confirm this attractive, emotion-rich aesthetic.

While rooted in house, his sound regularly takes on flavours of disco, boogie, Afro, deeper grooves, proto-house, ‘90s garage-house dubs and much more besides. As a DJ, he has forged a reputation at the legendary Southport Weekender, where he has performed regularly.

Anyone who can impress the notoriously knowledgeable Southport Weekender crowd must be doing something right. Sean has travelled the world as a DJ, playing as far afield as Asia, South Africa, and the United States, as well as regular appearances across Europe and the UK. Refreshingly, he seems to have no particular aspirations to play in gargantuan clubs, and admits to preferring gigs in small, intimate venues, where he can make a connection with the crowd.

As a producer, McCabe is constantly learning and evolving, taking his sound in different directions. He admits to a love of vintage synthesizers – picked up from listening to classic New York boogie and ‘80s soul. With an album on the horizon and notable collaborations with the likes of Karizma, Nathan Adams, and Groove Assassin, his reputation continues to rise.

synonymous with the US Garage and Vocal Soulful House sound since 1993 Radio Host and Producer, Club DJ and music journalist as well as A & R for Swiss label Deeptown Music

For over 28 years Niall Redmond has been DJing both in Clubs and on Radio. Hard to believe perhaps but the music bug bit early with Niall starting on pirate radio at age 16 on 90s iconic pirate DLR 106FM. A music enthusiast with a passion to play music to friends took Niall on a journey through radio and clubs since 1993. Progressing through the 90s on credible dance music pirates Q95 and Nova947, Redmond’s musical sound was distinctly American and emphasized the more vocal and soulful side of House music.

This was quite an uncommon musical leaning in Dublin which favoured the more Progressive and Tech styles, this set Redmond apart however and he became known as “the DJ who played American House “(US Garage). Learning his trade under names such as Paul Farris, CJ Mackintosh, Erick Morillo, Jazzy M and Paul Jackson and immersing himself in clubs such as Ministry of Sound in London during the late 90s, Niall took back this influence to various residencies he held in Dublin at the time (Residencies which he had in most of the big Dublin clubs at the time) .

In the early 2000’s Niall took regular trips to New York and became friendly with Erick Morillo and the Subliminal Records family, resulting in spinning at the prestigious Subliminal Session in Centro Fly along side Morillo and Melvin Moore.

The New York trips were also an opportunity to shop in some of the best vinyl record shops on earth, and for someone who prided themselves on special promo’s and unreleased/rare gems in their sets, this served as a record hunt as a well as a networking exercise. Radio of course has always been synonymous with the name Niall Redmond The show SOUNDsystem which ran for 8 years each Saturday on NOVA 947 (in Dublin) became a cult radio show which not only featured some very famous and legendary LIVE guests (Kerri Chandler, Sandy Rivera, Marshall Jefferson to name a fraction of them) it also played the freshest vinyl promos each week.
