Want to play Electric Fridays? Send us a message here and we'll arrange a gig! Is it not well known that every family has its rebel member ready to mess around any chance he gets? Well here it is folks. Welcome to “Electric Fridays with DUB” or Dublin’s Underground Beat’s little sista. Family grows bigger and add to this new night of music all the equipment needed. We are not talking of nappies an
d other baby stuff but indeed, of mics, amps, PA, with loooooots of cables tangled to one another…to give you some real sound audible from the other side of town. We weekly gather bands for a night, to play you catchy tunes and make you dance ‘till late at night over a few pints to celebrate the start of a lovely weekend. Where? When? How? What? Why?
> The International Bar on Wicklow street – Basement
> Every Friday from 9pm ‘till who knows…
> Bands but also solo artists
> Any kind of music, we love them all
> The craic of course! And because it’s Friday night! If you’re part of a band or know people who would be interested in playing a 25mn set on our night, you/they’re welcome to send us a message on this page, or on the Dublin’s Underground page, sending us links to where we will be able to listen to your/their material. From this step, we will get back to you/them as soon as possible and set a date for a set with us. And tadaaaaa, it’s settled! Easy right? The team will be delighted to meet you and have you play to entertain our lovely public. And if you don’t know who they are yet, well you’re about to discover it:
Jonathan Armas McGlinn – Creator of Dublin’s Underground Beat and host of the night, every Wednesday. A night of Music and Poetry, all unplugged and an amazing audience keeping quiet during the acts.
Adam Brennan – Our fantastic sound engineer who also pulls his strings to find us some amazing bands. We would be lost without him as he sets up the stage, clean it up too and get a beautiful sound out of the PA.
Hugh Hick – A fantastic performer as well and he sometimes takes the mic on Friday to introduce our deadly acts. He watches over everybody to make sure the night goes well.
as for Noemie Chivas-Baron – Well she’s just there for the craic and aslo steals the mic to introduce the bands. If you fancy playing on Wednesday for the acoustic session, then feel free to contact her. Come share a pint with us, have a chat and sing along the acts playing. It's FREE, it's cool, it's chill.
