Thank you to all our players, coaches, and supporters for their hard work over the weekend. The Senior AIL teams delivered brilliant performances at home and away. Our Youth teams had some thrilling games and showed fantastic efforts all around.

A big weekend for our youth girls! The Sharks (U14s) gave a great effort against Arklow, the Vipers (U16s) secured their second win of 2025, and the Panthers (U18s) brought the laughs (and mud). Well done to all the teams!

The annual Club Dinner will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025. As always the dinner is black tie, with the time of arrival 7:00pm for 7:30pm, with dinner served at 8.15pm sharp.

Dear Members,

I would like to wish everyone involved in Old Belvedere and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year.

I wish to extend my sincere thanks to all those working within the club, many behind the scenes, for all their ongoing hard work and enthusiasm which is greatly appreciated by everyone. Thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters for all the support and encouragement I have received during the year and for helping to make Old Belvedere such an enjoyable club of which to be a part.

In November, Dave Walsh had occasion to show a French rugby colleague around the club and he posted a message into the Vets WhatsApp group afterwards which I’m sure he wouldn’t mind me sharing with you:

“I felt so much pride showing him around the club: pitches, bar, terrace, gym, clubhouse, function room, sauna, flower beds - all of it. Then answering how many teams we have - women, men, u20, Juvenile, mini rugby. I have never seen the club thriving on every front like this. Big thank you to all those doing the work behind the scenes.”

I am looking forward to an enjoyable (and hopefully successful) 2025 and I hope to seeing many of you down in Ollie Campbell Park in the New Year. Keep your diaries open for the Annual Club Dinner which is on Saturday 25th January!

Reminder that the annual match for the Kevin Barry Trophy will take place at Ollie Campbell Park tonight, Friday 20th December, with a 6:30pm kick-off.

This event is a highlight of the club’s calendar. Following our closely contested 29-26 win over Belvedere College SCT last year, our U20s will be determined to retain the title in what promises to be an exciting game. A post-match meal will be provided for both teams and support staff.

As this will be our final rugby event of 2024, we encourage all members to attend, support the U20s, and take the opportunity to connect with the wider Belvedere Rugby community before the Christmas break.

We look forward to seeing many of you later this evening.

Great morning of fun & games. The Minis took on their coaches & parents at the annual minis Christmas fun morning.

Afterwards it was back to the clubhouse for coffees & treats.

Thank you to all our coaches, kids, Parents & helpers.

A huge thank you also to our parents & children for your generosity with our SVP appeal. Thank you too to our TY’s for all their help this morning. Lulu MCCarthy left with a packed car.
