I would like to introduce an organization called Latino-Amerika Peru, it is a non-profit organization. I was part of differences event and organize differents activities as Director of Casa Peru, Peruvian independents days for the Peruvian Community in Ireland and Founder of pages like Peruanos en Irlanda/Peruvian in Ireland, Baila Peru and Latino America Peru.
Erika Pena left Peru for Ireland 18 years ago. Proud of her Peruvian heritage, I dreamt of sharing its a unique culture, folk dancing and cuisine with her adopted home in Dublin. I realised that there was no platform in Ireland to share Peruvian culture and in February 2017, Casa Peru was born. It was a thriving enterprise for Peruvians to come together and celebrate their culture in Dublin. It also acts to pass on Peruvian culture to the next generation of Peruvians born in Ireland and introduce it to Dubliners. (Thanks Veronica Veliz for the interview)
Casa Peru (Ireland) was a non-profit organization founded in February 2017- 2019.
Now is Latino Amerika Peru there are links to food, sports, music and films. It is a busy inviting page where Dubliners and Peruvians alike are welcome.
Over the last year, they have participated in Culture Night at the Mansion House, participated in cultural promotion events, organised Peruvian breakfasts, film nights and Feasts. They are gathering momentum as more and more Peruvians come together to proudly share their culture.
I had volunteered at cultural events in the past and this experience was invaluable in launching my enterprise. I had many contacts in the Irish Peruvian community that were delighted to come on board with my vision. While I and my husband have raised our six children in Ireland, we are keen that they will grow up with a strong sense of their Peruvian heritage. Latino America Peru offers that opportunity to her family and the many other Peruvian families in Ireland.
As an Entrepreneur, I have faced many challenges such as keeping my working group focused, recruiting volunteers and organising a constant stream of new events that will keep her members engaged. Time, commitment and teamwork are vital qualities for leadership in a social enterprise. I advise for entrepreneurs starting up an idea or business is ‘if starting a business is not your hobby, then at least work with a group of people that you can trust.’
I organized for charity the creation of Peruvian home cooking book the 100 % went to two charities based in Peru.
The creation and Direction of the ballet of Peruvian dances.
First Peruvian Flashmob in Ireland with the multicultural assistance of collaborators.
Organization of talks related to Peru
Support in the march ni una menos
Organization of traditional Peruvian food workshops and drinks at the Mansion House.
Organization of how to merge the Peruvian Cajón (wooden drum-box) with the Irish flute.
Agreement with the Cervantes Institute for the development of free dance workshops.
Participation in the various Latin American activities.

Furthermore, I got from Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, an Award for my hard work with the community in 2016.
I got for the organization the Licenciatarios of Peruvian Official Logo call "Marca Pais Peru". for 2017 -2019.
In our presentation, we are trying our best to
•Promote Peruvian culture, traditions and customs oriented to the various communities in Ireland. We are looking for integration, inclusion a Diversity. Promote and disseminate the beauty and majesty of the different dances of the various regions of Peru.
• encourage, stimulate and propagate all kinds of Peruvian cultural expression, ensuring the maintenance of the Peruvian cultural heritage in our children, reinforcing our own identity;
• create communication channels that promote and encourage integration amongst Peruvians living abroad with our country; and make them feel Ireland is our home too.
