What an extraordinary night at the kickoff of the four-day Drogheda Saint Patrick’s weekend festival! The fireworks set the stage for an incredible event, and a special thanks to the St. Bridget’s Pipe Band from Dundalk for starting it off with a bang. I want to give a big shoutout to Sarah and the whole team from Drogheda Festivals, Trevor and Kellie from Love Drogheda, and everyone who played a part in bringing this festival to life. I couldn't be prouder of what we've accomplished. This marks the fifth successful family festival that both myself and Nicola Kelly, center manager of Scotch Hall, and her team have organized. It's fantastic to see Scotch Hall's space being used for community events like this. Let's not forget the countless hours of phone calls, emails, and late-night texts that went into making this happen. None of it would be possible without the dedication of everyone on the committee. A massive thank you to famous Hollywood actor Colin o Donoghue for officially letting off the fireworks. Also, a huge thank you to the Bids for Coming on Board and sponsoring the event . Their work in the town is amazing. We're eagerly looking forward to the annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade for its 60th anniversary this Sunday. The Drogheda St. Patrick’s Day parade has always been one of the best in Ireland. Here's to another successful weekend! Make sure to swing by Scotch Hall and enjoy our food village market, funfair, Ferris wheel, and plenty of free entertainment on Monday, including face painting, balloon modeling, and a magician.
