Everything we make for our office catering is made every morning. We’ve been doing this for 20 years now & understand how important it is offer innovation food solutions when required - anything from a sandwich/breakfast platter to a pop up build your own in the office.

So we’ve bid adieu to 2024 & arrived safely thus far into 2025. From the bottom of our hearts we wish all our team, our suppliers & our clients a happy & peaceful 2025.
We had a great year in 2024 thanks to all of you- we finally moved to our new kitchen after 20 years our production unit.
We had our first Delicious baby when Saaem & his wife had their daughter. We got work permits for two of our gorgeous young staff, we had lots of lovely young people join the team whilst they study & party in Dublin whilst learning English. We made a very conscious effort to move all our ingredients to Irish producers.
We found a pig farmer to take all our waste bread & vegetable reducing our food waste to below 1% - he takes only the bread ends we can’t use & off cuts of the vegetables we prep. We got involved with The Family Carer Association with monthly donation towards counselling services & we started donating €1.5k worth of freshly made sandwiches monthly to Liberty Soup Run, who do fantastic work for the homeless in Dublin 8.
We continued long relationships with valued long term clients who we’ve got to know as more than client, as we mark how their then toddlers are now graduates! We have embarked in new journeys with new clients are very much looking forward to seeing where these go.
Our new production facility has a second floor & we spent the last month getting it ready to expand our offering. Best for us was that our little Dublin business was announced as a finalist in SFA business awards 2025 - so there’ll be lots of work to do before the big night in RDS 2025!

We make the most wonderful sandwich platters
After the morning rush making sandwiches for our cafe clients has finished, we then start making our sandwich platters for lunch time delivery. This means that the sandwiches you get are made just an hour or two before they are eaten. Sandwiches don't come much fresher than that & there is no doubt you will taste the difference. A large platter costs €60.00
A small platter costs €30.00

We may be a small business but if there's a more productive kitchen in Dublin let me know! This is just half of our morning bread order from the Bretzel. Then there's bread for our sandwich wedges - & not forgetting the hundreds of wraps we make every day. We have a 500sq foot kitchen & a team of ten plus one van (two if I can get insurance for a second one, which is proving problematic as we don't have a no claims bonus for a van we don't yet own ......erghhhhh

On today I want to applaud all the women all over the world who know nothing about today's celebrations. The brave women who walk miles everyday just to get clean water for their children. The women whose children are starving due to drought or poverty, for the women who feel have never felt part of life's party that others seem to enjoy. For women overwhelmed by lack of confidence, women left behind by friends, family & society. For all of you who didn't feature in today's celebrations I send you love ❤️

I started going to the theatre about 15 years ago during Dublin Fringe Festival. To be honest it's where I found my tribe-not specifically people but spaces where incredibly talent people tell incredible stories in the tiniest spaces, at lunch time, in grand venues, places where once my bum is firmly on the seat I feel at home.

Over the years I've seen the most wonderful plays & enjoyed immersive experiences that have touched me to my core.

I could talk all night about plays that I've seen (so if you meet me it's probably best not to ask!)

This year, after a very shaky start we have had an great finish to the business.

Throughout the year we have quietly supported various charities when we could, so when an email popped into my inbox looking for people to sponsor the refurbishment of the big wide benches in I couldn't help but get excited.

Without hesitation I decided that this ones for me. So when fabulous thanked me for the corporate sponsorship of the reupholster of a bench I had to be honest, that this is very much a gift for me for 17 years hard slog in the food industry !

Rock on 2023!

I'd be lying if I said I haven't been green with envy of all this / hybrid lark.

For those of us in the service industry where work involves physically being there I suspect most of us feel the same. Waking up in the morning must be great when you know there's no long commute, no dilemma of will I wear pink or black, a suit or a dress.

Before Covid I was on the other side of the fence as my admin days were spent . I do less admin now as it's all hands on deck in the work kitchen & I've outsourced accounts, and if I'm honest I couldn't hack a full time job.

I'd be distracted by the dog, the dishes, the to do list, rewriting the to do list, procrastination, stopping & starting & finishing nothing.

Today, however was a perfect day. The house was already clean, the dog decided he didn't fancy a walk. I got loads done, lots of niggly little queries thar take hours to resolve.

There wasn't time to make dinner for - he wasn't best pleased but I'll put in the mix for my next day
