Relaxed and Natural style of photography that captures moments between family members with a magical feel (cause who are we kidding we all love a little magic also know as the *Mels Effect*) taking in the surrounding natural light. Most of my shoots are held in the great outdoors , firstly to obtain that natural light, to give the smaller members some space and freedom to allow for their true personalities to come out. And to take advantage of some of the most amazing backdrops that our beautiful country has to offer.
I am fun and full of energy, I will spend time chatting and playing games in order to build that important relationship with the clients (especially the smaller ones) all this leads to the most natural, fun, cheesy , adorable, special , fleeting moments that get captured and re visited over and over again for many years to come.
I love hearing from clients before hand on thoughts and inspiration for what they want from their shoot. As each shoot is special to each client and thats the way it should be.
Most of my favoured images are those when the subject is not connecting with the camera but connecting with a mother / father / sibling / grand parent or even family pet. To me this is Real time Photography and a lot of my work would be heavily weighted this way.
