Just a few things that go on each week and how things should be, etc, etc, etc.
* The Doors open each Wednesday around 9pm. We ask all our musicians to please come down for 9pm so we can get the ball rolling. Musicians will be asked to play at some stage between 9pm and 1am. That's just the way it is.
* Musicians will be asked to do 3/4 songs depending on what time we start.
* We have a very si
mple setup. It does the job. The usual setup on a given night is 2 mics, 2 mic stands, and a guitar lead.
* It's always a good idea for someone who is planning to play sometime to actually drop in for a night before hand and see the setup and experienced the vibe. I think it's only fair to say that its not for everyone!
* The Zodiac Sessions is not a hush hush, very quiet sessions. It's more a community we are creating for musicians to come down, have a drink, play a few tunes, laugh and meet other musicians.
* Sometimes we record musicians video and audio and put together a very simple "music video" to be uploaded to YouTube which can then be taken by any of our acts.
* We love it when new talent comes down. We love it when new talent play. But we do not like it when someone plays their music, packs their stuff and leaves without showing a little respect and listening to the other musicians. They get a little black dot beside their name!!!!
* We try our best to accommodate everybody's needs as best we can with regard to playing times, songs, equipment, etc, but sometimes this just isn't possible so we hope you'll understand.
* As often as we can, a number of regular musicians will be asked to feature on an acoustic compilation album from the sessions. We will fund everything from the studio time to the duplication to the launch. This album is called "The Potential Collection" and we have just released our second volume.
* We ask our musicians to always spread the word about the Zodiac Sessions and if possible, bring a few friends to the night who will appreciate the music. Now, I'm sure there's more I've been meaning to say so I'll be adding that on later.
