Thank you for the courtesy to my team and I over the past few weeks. As you may be aware, Cllr. Charlie O’Connor has decided to retire. He asked me to run for his seat on South Dublin County Council – but only six weeks ago. This is why you may not have met me during the campaign, it was impossible to cover the entire constituency in the time I had.
If you want to tackle the scourge of anti-social behaviour and crime in our area, then you might consider giving me your Number 1.
If you want to continue the investment in our public spaces, parks and footpaths, please give me your Number 1.
If you want to support our sports clubs and local amenities, please give me your Number 1.
We have great clubs in our area, run by so many great volunteers. If elected, I will fight for more funding for these clubs. Promises have been made for better facilities, pavilions, etc. – but without a strong voice on the Council, these promises could be forgotten.
If you want a local champion for our area and a strong voice on the Council, please give me your Number 1.
I don’t believe you can effectively represent people - without listening first. That's why I have been working hard, knocking on doors, delivering leaflets, and listening to people across the constituency. I have taken note of issues expressed to me in different areas in Tallaght Central. If elected, I will work to resolve these issues.
If you have already committed your Number 1 vote to another candidate, I understand. If you would give me your next highest preference, I would appreciate it.
Best Regards,
Thyes Kavanagh.
