Last Friday I married the love of my life, on the shore of a frozen lake in Edinburgh, Scotland. For those who may have previously followed my wedding planning journey, you might remember that we had originally planned a more traditional wedding at home in Kerry. 2017 was a very difficult year and after a lot of consideration, we decided to cancel the big wedding and go to our favourite city on my birthday instead, and do things quietly, without fuss. We could never have anticipated rescheduling flights, cancelled flights, a long drive to Larne to get the ferry and a treacherous drive through the Scottish countryside to get to Edinburgh. Nor could we have anticipated that our original venue would not be open due to the weather! But we persevered and remained calm, and this was the result. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day ❤️️
