What a week we've had!

Panto 2025 has come to an end, and the Watergate wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to the fantastic cast and crew for their time, generosity, dedication, and enthusiasm, especially in light of the very challenging snowy conditions! Spirits remained high despite this and each performance was delivered with joy, talent, good humour and commitment.

Last week's weather conditions brought huge challenges, and we can't thank everyone enough for their cooperation surrounding the scheduling of additional shows to cater to audiences that missed out due to cancelled performances.
Cancelling and rescheduling performances in such a short time frame brought its own challenges and wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of the outstanding Watergate team. We also thank you, our audiences, for your patience and understanding while we tried to facilitate as many as possible.

We could not publish this post without singling out Panto Production Manager and our Front of House and Box Office Manager Sarah Brennan, who you might have recognised on stage as the hilarious Bashem!! 😁There's no end to Sarah's talent, dedication, creativity as well as her ability to rally the troops at both rear and front of house! This week could not have turned out as positively as it did without her.

Thank you to the fantastic Production Team under the direction of David Doyle. This year's Panto didn't disappoint with endless talent, glitzy costumes, bright colours, enchanting set design and fabulous lighting, singing, dancing, and all-round fun that we all love in a Watergate Panto.

A huge thank you to last night’s wonderful audience! It was incredible to bring Snow White back to the stage and to welcome you all once again. 🍎🥳

SNOW WHITE UPDATE AND LIMITED TICKETS AVAILBLE FOR TONIGHT'S PERFORMANCE

After much discussion with our cast & crew, we are going ahead with the scheduled performance of Snow White tonight (8th January). The show will start at the earlier time of 7pm to allow both cast & audience members to get home earlier.

Everyone's safety is of utmost importance and we are aware that travelling isn't possible for all ticket holders. We ask each customer to make the best decision for their party depending on their location and the road conditions in their area.

We kindly ask tonight's ticket holders to check their emails as soon as possible in order for us to try to facilitate additional ticket holders affected by cancelled shows.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts to go ahead with tonight's performance of Snow White, the latest upgraded orange weather warnings mean that we have no choice but to cancel the performance. Extremely low temperatures will mean travel conditions are only getting more dangerous throughout the evening for our cast/crew and audience members.

⚠️ UPDATE - Snow White on 7th January

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts to go ahead with tonight's performance of Snow White, the latest upgraded orange weather warnings mean that we have no choice but to cancel the performance. Extremely low temperatures will mean travel conditions are only getting more dangerous throughout the evening for our cast/crew and audience members.

We have emailed all ticket holders with further details.

Unfortunately, we can't predict how the weather will affect performances in the coming days, but we will be in contact with ticket holders by email in the event of any change to scheduled performances.

We are doing our best with the current situation and are currently working on a solution for the cancelled performances and will be in contact with all ticket holders as soon as possible.

Here’s hoping Snow White will make it to the stage and that the Snow White weather conditions outside will improve so you can all see the fabulous work our panto cast & crew have been doing over the past few months! ❄️🍎✨

Multi-Award winning Irish comedian Conal Gallen returns to the Watergate on 17 January with his hilarious one-man stand-up show 'Gallens of Laughter'. Conal is well known for his hilarious humour and has been entertaining audiences worldwide for over 40 years.

Having been described as “Ireland’s Funniest man in Ireland’s Funniest Show“, it’s easy to see why!
It really is non-stop laughter all the way.
With 40 years on stage and having recorded over 40 albums, there are very few comedians around with the wealth of jokes he brings.
