🤍 Our TW&G expert bridal underwear guide blog post is now live! Just in time as we are hitting the busiest time of the year for dress collections 🤍

So you’ve found THE dress, congratulations! What an exciting time. A few jobs later on your checklist and you hit underwear! An easy one to forget but believe us when we say, the right underwear will make your bridal look and will have you feeling amazing in your dream TW&G dress. We can confidently put our hands up and say we are experts on all things bridal style, underwear being one of them. Let’s get down to it!

We always recommend our brides wear n**e seamless underwear. Believe it or not, white underwear is not your friend and is likely to show under your dress!
For a super smooth, sleek, drop-dead gorgeous look we suggest shape wear underwear. Choose light shapewear, it’s a long day and your dress is going to fit you beautifully- you do not need to be compressed like a mummy underneath your buttery soft silk dress. Avoid stitched waistbands and thigh seams like the plague!

Viola can also be customised and have the Margaux skirt swapped in- keeping your clean lines but adding ruching across the lower stomach/ hip area for comfort. Meet the iconic Camellia shoes in pearl. This soft ivory hue looks amazing with light ivory dresses (most wedding dress shades) and even better styled up with your jeans and tees after the big day!

We have sized our LR shoes up true to size on our site- no need to size up when ordering. If you have a wide foot we advise going up a half size. Available in-store in or on our site in full and half sizes. The feedback from our customers on these shoes is amazing, we hear “so unbelievably comfy, we danced in them all night ” … a lot! 🤍

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! 🥂

Going by our bookings and inquiries, it looks like a lot of magical engagements were celebrated over the festive season! Congratulations to you all, I remember that incredible floating on cloud nine feeling 🥰

As we enter one of our busiest times of the year we have added more evening appointments in both stores- our availability is already booking up quicker than usual! For brides who have been in with us recently and think you found your dream dress please do what the other smart brides are doing- get it ordered on time.

The calendar is almost full for the first few weeks in both TW&G Dublin & Kinsale and we advise all September 2025 onwards brides to get their dress ordered sooner rather than later to avoid rush fees.

A rush order is generally any date under 9 months. A gentle reminder that we recommend ordering your dress 11 months out from your wedding date. For shorter timeline brides we have rush and super rush options (with a designer fee) or else a sample dress might be a great option for you. We can’t wait to meet you and help you find your dream dress 🥂

We have had lots of new arrivals to TW&G recently and I am so pleased to share that Diana has now joined our Kinsale rails. Diana by is the epitome of Hollywood glamour - luxuriously soft silk satin that drapes and wraps the body to highlight every curve. Diana has beautiful boning on the bodice for that cinched in silhouette and the over-skirt is an optional add-on for full dramatic impact 💥

I am so excited to be running the Dublin Marathon this Sunday! It’s my first marathon so I have no idea what is ahead of me! I do not take for granted that I was fortunate enough to have been born in a safe country where my family and I are living safe, peaceful lives.

Like everyone else, I have been donating funds and sharing the heart-breaking atrocities that are being inflicted on innocent Palestinian civilians as they flea from one horror to the next. I have chosen to run the Dublin Marathon and raise funds for UNICEF Ireland. They are desperately deploying food and medical aid on the ground in Gaza and Lebanon.

I would like to reward everyone who sponsors my marathon with a chance to win beautiful accessories that I am personally donating from The White & Gold. The first winner receives a €450 voucher and the runner up - a €100 voucher as it doesn’t seem fair to pick just one! These vouchers can go towards your TW&G wedding dress, your veil, our beautiful shoes or just to layer yourselves golden in our fashion jewellery. The White & Gold is a passionately curated bridal boutique located in Kinsale, Co.Cork. Created by Sorcha Gillett, the W&G is home to an exciting new collection of top international designers. With a degree in design and over 10 years experience as a fashion designer and stylist, Sorcha envisioned creating a bad-ass bridal boutique that would offer Irish brides a unique alternative to mainstream bridal shopping.

Opening in April 2019, The White & Gold has curated a collection of highly sought after international wedding dress designers, the kind of dresses that will set your heart on fire! We travelled to Australia, New York & London to liase with our favourite designers. We have hand selected designers who are challenging the mainstream bridal aesthetic, mixing things up with their contemporary designs yet ensuring to maintain a timeless quality to their dresses. Showcased in our loft gallery in Kinsale, we promise you an intimate and memorable shopping experience on your bridal journey.

We offer our brides a relaxed one hour appointment in our luxury loft showroom. With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, Sorcha will be there to offer each bride a bespoke fitting service – working towards creating an individual look for our special brides on their wedding day.

Located in Kinsale town, we are 30 minutes from Cork city, 20 minutes from Cork airport and a 2.5 hour drive from Dublin, with most of it being motorway. We will do our best to accommodate our brides who are travelling from afar to visit us, we have reserved afternoon appointments to allow for your journey times. Kinsale is renowned for it’s culinary delights, we suggest you make a day of it and get booked in for a bubbly lunch by the sea!
