We are not going to lie!

It can be tough with early starts, the occasional late night stint and working at the weekends. BUT we can guarantee it’s totally worth it and the self satisfaction you will get from completing a transformation will be off the charts!

It’s a physical role with a lot of heavy lifting. You should have a keen eye for detail, be diligent and a kind & supportive team member.

The role will involve working in-house preparing orders and on the road set ups.

Reliable time-keeping is a must.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working at heights and be prepared to drive a van.

We are predominantly looking for someone who can work Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday or a mix of those days.

We are a fun, dynamic team, market leaders in our field. We promise great job satisfaction and the opportunity to work in beautiful venues across the country.

Meet the face behind our brand!!
For anyone who follows us on our social media but hasn’t (yet!) visited our shop, I thought I’d show the face that lurks behind my posts (and makes the occasional appearance on the likes of Tiktok!) 🤣
My name is Ciara Duddy and I’m the founder and owner and hands-on manager/bridal consultant/buyer/marketing person/book-keeper/secretary (and everything else) here at Beautiful Day Bridal Cottage. Along with my two lovely helpers, Jacqui and Grace, we’re the cogs on the wheels that bring our boutique to life.
I started up this business back in 2004 (we’ll be celebrating our 18th birthday next month!) and I’ve watched it go from a business plan in a notebook to the award winning shop it is now with its fab reputation for our amazing selection of designer dresses from across the globe, and our expertise at putting brides at ease and finding them their dream wedding dress. We may be a small bridal cottage in a village… but we pack in a lot as you can see if you follow our posts. Our brides love our intimate setting and one-to-one bridal consultations. And with two of us having backgrounds in sewing, you’ll always have someone on hand who knows what they are talking about to make recommendations on modifications to dresses and advise on what sort of alterations can be done. I’m so lucky to have grown up with a mother who was a super talented dressmaker and to have had hands-on experience assisting her - I even helped her make my own wedding dress 22 years ago! So I guess you can say wedding dresses are in the blood and this is where I got my passion and wealth of knowledge from.
And I’m so lucky to enjoy my work so much! It’s hard work, but it’s also very rewarding and I love that my wee shop has played such a special role in helping create so many lovely memories for so many brides over the years. Long may it continue - and I’m looking forward to helping lots more of you make special memories in our boutique in the future.
