The Attic Bridalwear Boutique is a new and unique Bridal Store open in the heart of Limerick City. It is a calm space where a bride will feel comfortable, special and relaxed. Situated in a beautiful old building above Esquire and Serendipity, and in the space that was previously Eve’s, it is a discreet and private setting for the bride. Tea is served in vintage mix match china cups to the bridal
party while they sit in their garden feel viewing corner. The bride then commandeers the room and the rails, selecting all or some of the collection to try on. The real treat is the feel the bride to be will get for the dress, walking around the large space as the natural light pours in the large sash windows. Orlaith Carroll, owner of The Attic is an award winning designer and a graduate of LSAD. During her time studying she took a year out to gain experience, moving to London to work with both Richard Nicoll and Alexander McQueen. On graduating she moved to New York to work as a pattern draughter for high end designer Derek Lam, who dresses the likes of Michelle Obama and more. On Orlaith's return to Ireland she worked in the fashion industry in Dublin for a time until she decided to move home and open The Attic. The Attic stocks carefully selected dresses, including two bespoke South African Labels Elbeth Gillis & Anna Georgina both of which are exclusive to The Attic in Ireland. With Orlaith’s design and technical experience in fashion she hopes to aid brides in finding the perfect silhouette and style for their body shape. In the coming months Orlaith will be launching her own collection. It will be her interpretation of the wedding dress, combining tradition, history and modern silhouettes. Alternatively the bride can go down the creative route of bespoke, one of a kind, discussing and brainstorming ideas with Orlaith to create her dream dress. Open tuesday to Saturday by appointment.
