Such a sad loss for the community in Ballylongford. Alan was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by us all. Condolences to all the Kennellys and extended family and friends. Rest in peace Alan.

It is with great sadness that Ballylongford GAA heard of the passing of our Club President Alan Kennelly. Alan was also a past Chairman as well as County Board delegate for 40yrs. He was equally a pillar of Ballylongford parish community, a fierce local patriot and great gael. Alan was a legendary character who always enjoyed the banter with everyone. He will be greatly missed and leaves a massive legacy behind in our club and community. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his son Tim, daughters Elma & Maureen, daughter-in-law Marie and son-in-law David, his grandchildren Justine, Eimer, Niamh, Cathal and Fionn. and extended Kennelly family. Ar dheis Dè go raibh a anam dìlis 💙🤍

Reposing at Lynch's funeral home Ballylongford on Sunday evening from 4.30pm to 7.30pm followed by removal to St Michaels Church. Requiem mass on Monday at 12noon. Burial afterwards in Lislaughtin Abbey Ballylongford. No flowers please, donations to Palliative care Tralee.

The Parish Hall

Reopening in March 2013, the renovated Ballylongford Parish Hall now offers a large hall, bright upstairs meeting rooms, catering facilities and a stage with full stage lighting and sound. A projector and screen are also available for rent.

Here at the Parish Hall, we are home to many local groups such as the Active Retirement Group, the Ballylongford Children’s Drama Group, the ICA, Tidy Towns and host a range of activities each week. Once a month, we host bingo and the Ballylongford Rambling House.

The Parish Hall is the perfect venue for functions, accommodating up to 150 people. We are a regular venue for parties, meetings and training courses. We also have facilities to cater during funerals.
