Went to the concert to celebrate St Bridget's day in Strokestown Park House yesterday evening.
What a wonderful concert.
Cathy Jordan is such a beautiful singer and the musicians were brilliant. It was fab to listen to them in such an intimate setting.
A super performance. Well done to Sabrina and Roscommon arts officer .

Syringa, Lilac, remember them from your childhood, wonderful fragrance, most lilac bushes are vigorous but this is a slow growing one and a real treat to have in the garden. Easy to grow, trim back after flowering, cut out any dead wood and remove any suckers

Centerpiece. The beauty and fragrance of thoes hyacinths is amazing. I have them sitting in a beautiful cut glass bowl, easy to water. Thoes bulbs are ideal for indoor cultivation and when finished flowering can be planted outdoors to give pleasure for many years to come. They need a open sunny position in well drained soil, also do well in window boxes and containers. You buy the bulbs in autumn with the tulips and narcissus.

Roses, so many different varieties, old garden roses, climbing roses, ramblers, hybrid tea, Damask, carpet roses, all beautiful and in so many wonderful colours. This one is a rambling rose, rambling through a hedge of Holly, privet and other shrubs.
