**** Important announcement ****
Firstly, we hope that you are all safe and well in the current difficult times. While we have no doubt you all miss your regular dose of salsa, your personal safety and that of your family and friends is paramount.
With this in mind we have been closely monitoring the situation and have held off on making any official announcements until we had a better picture of what has happening and what the best practices were likely to be for the coming months.
Last Friday the Irish government released a detailed plan for exiting the current lock-down situation, with clear dates and requirements for lifting restrictions on gatherings. We have reviewed this document in detail and with the current worldwide pandemic and the safety of all of us in mind we must make the following announcement:
It is with great disappointment that we must announce the postponement of the Irish Salsa Congress. Through discussions with Maynooth University and our incredibly understanding teachers, we are delighted to say that we have a new confirmed date for the final Irish Salsa Congress which will now run from the 18th to the 20th of June 2021.
Lineup:
We are delighted to say that nearly all of the international teachers that we had lined up are still available for next year’s date (with more expected to also confirm soon!)
Ticket Prices:
We have decided not to make any changes to our ticket prices for next year and they will continue to be sold on a capacity basis with ticket prices increasing as set numbers of tickets sold are hit.
For those who have already booked a ticket please be assured that your ticket is still valid for next year without any need to re-book/request an update.
Cancellations:
As a non-profit event this is a particular point of concern for us, however we understand that not everyone will be able to make use of their ticket for 2021. With this in mind we would ask anyone who is looking to cancel to first see if there is someone else who may be willing to take their ticket off them in which case we will be able to transfer the ticket to the new owner without any issue.
If you are still unable to use your ticket please bear in mind that there is a small cancellation fee and if you re-book later you may end up paying a higher price as ticket prices increase closer to the event.
If you do wish to cancel please email us at [email protected] where our team will deal with your request. We would ask for patience in respect of refunds as this will take time. We are a not-for-profit organisation and get preferential prices based on paying in advance for facilities such as accommodation which may be difficult to organise refunds for quickly. However, we will deal with your request as quickly as is possible.
