Hello,
With less than a week to go, here are a few pointers for the Climb with Charlie - Slieve Bloom event , this Saturday 2nd April.
- If at all possible - please car pool - there is not a huge amount of
parking at the Ridge of Capard. Therefore, if you can share lifts
please do.

- Please be mindful of traffic on the road up to Capard - it is very
narrow in parts. Please don't abandon cars causing an
obstruction. An Garda Siochana will be up there on the day.
Please take instructions from stewards on where and how to park.

- While we are encouraging everyone to get out early - 10am - if as
many people as possible could stagger their start time that would
be great. We are trying to avoid congestion on both the roads
and the boardwalk.

- There will be no guided walks on the day. There are a few
different routes, depending on how far you want to go.

- Please wear appropriate footwear. While there is a boardwalk at
the Ridge, there are parts where it will be very wet and muddy.

- Leave no trace: respect all wildlife; leave what you find; take your
waste home & be considerate of others.

- There will be tea & coffee on sale there courtesy of Cuddysbrew.

- If you would rather not donate online, there will be buckets at the
Ridge of Capard on the ,day. It's all about raising money for the
Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association & for Pieta. Ending
Su***de. Beginning Hope. To date, Charlie Bird has raised
€747,583.98 for these two charities which is a huge achievement.
Let's try and add as much as possible!

If we think of anything else between now and Saturday we will
post it on here so keep an eye on this page. Also, please tag and
share to as many people as possible.
