"A stitch in time saves nine"

Mending and upcycling clothes is not a new idea. Past generations have been making and mending textiles down through the years, and on this workshop will introduce you to the tips and skills you need to get the best out of your clothes and household fabric items. Bring along 3 -5 items of pre-loved clothes or textiles (all other materials supplied) so that they can be repaired, upcycled or recreated into something new. No sewing experience necessary. The workshop will be a mix of hand and machine sewing, showing you how to be more sustainable with your textile items. From repairing a loose stitch to adding lace sleeves or cutting down a neckline, it's all possible with a little guidance and you’ll be amazed of what can be transformed and created. Happy St Brigid’s day🇮🇪 13 children & 9 adults, one fantastic at Leinster House today 🥰Hugh thank you to Senator Fiona O’Loughlin for inviting our Creative Sewing girls up to Leinster house for a very special st Brigid workshop this morning on this day of ,we had the most wonderful day ,creating a cloak with members of staff from the government buildings and presenting it to fiona and the Women’s Caucus.
Super well done to all the girls from our creative sewing group who worked very hard to creat this wonderful textile art Cloak, a masterpiece👏👏
