Please join me in The Stillorgan Park Hotel this Thursday, Nov 20th for a full day Christmas Craft Fair starting at 10.00am, where I will be doing a Flower Demonstration of Christmas ideas from 2.00pm. There will be 29 other stalls including Woodcraft, Toys, Pottery, Scented Candles, Hand Made cards to mention a few, for you to enjoy also. Look forward to seeing you there. Yvonne Little :-)

Hint for the week:

Trim the stems of your flowers at a 45° angle. This ensures that the water can get up the stem to feed the flower.

This is an example of our selection of coloured roses from Kenya which last at least 10 days. Cut them on a slant to make sure you get full value out of them. Change the water every few days :)

Hint for the week:

How to keep your flowers alive longer!

Don't throw away that last bit of 7Up! If you put about a 1/4 cup of a carbonated drink in your vase, the sugar in the drink will keep your flowers alive and looking fresh for longer. But remember if you are using a clear vase and want the water to remain clean, use a clear drink like 7Up or Sprite.

Hint for the week:

When you put your flowers in a vase and you're left with a hole in the middle after they all fall to the side, take them out again. Make a selotape grid at the top of your vase, and start by putting your main flower and some greenery into the centre square and from there put in your other flowers in and out separately between your other squares. Then you end up with a very professional bunch of flowers! Well done :)

We have just got in a new selection of Roses from Kenya which last at least 10 days! We have them in a selection of colours including red, yellow, pink and more.
