Swinford Cultural Centre is a multi-purpose venue located on Station Road, Swinford. This facility is based where the Railway Station once operated – the Cultural Centre was once a goods store for CIE. The Cultural Centre is a fully accessible open space area that can accommodate over 200 people and has wifi access if desired. Some of the facilities that are provided at the Cultural centre are.


•Large drop down screen,
•Projector,
•Ability to connect to a laptop,
•DVD player connected to projector & screen,
•Podium with microphone.
•Tea making – kitchenette area with sink, fridge and Burco boiler
Since opening in 2013 a number of events have been held in the facility. These include.
•Training events with various organisations.
•Information Evenings
•Presentation events
•Drama production & rehearsals.
•DVD Launch evening
•Movie evening
•Fitness classes
•DIY course
•Personal Development Programme
•End of season junior football event
•Various AGM’s
•Children’s Disco
•Retirement Function
•Sports Coach Education
•Photo Shoot
•Job Club
•Bridge Tournament

Road overlay works are scheduled to take place from Wednesday, October 16th on the R320 Kiltimagh Road in Swinford town, from the junction of Park Road to the junction at Station Road.

Temporary traffic management will be in operation, please expect some delays

Swinford GAA will be donating our portion of next weeks 50/50 draw in aid of Cathal Kelly’s great fundraiser Kelly's Walk 2 Rome

Cathal is due to finish his journey to Rome next week so all donations are greatly appreciated

We are looking for as many donations as possible to this great cause and the higher the 50/50 pot the higher the prize money!

**Press Release from Swinford Agricultural Show Society for immediate release**

It is with great regret that Swinford Agricultural Show has made the very difficult decision to cancel this year's show. In the interest of health & safety as a result of the quantity of rain that has fallen since Sunday and the unfavourable forecast for the next few days. This month 177mm of rain has fallen here in Swinford, 76mm in the last 7 days alone.

Everyone that have entries in the show to date will be contacted by the committee and full refunds will be issued.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our hard working Committee and volunteers who have done so much work for this year's show. We would also like to thank our sponsors.

Thank you for your continued support. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
