Christmas Day at the Earl, it’s been quite some time!!
Merry Christmas to you all, to our Ukrainian residents, and to our staff and their loved ones.

We hope for peace, joy, happiness and health on this festive season, and we hope wherever you are today, that you are enjoying the day.

Massive, massive thanks to ALL the team here, for their hard work, dedication, empathy and friendship since we reopened in March, but especially over the last month for going above and beyond to ensure that, although far from home, that our guests had a special day today. We really are blessed with the best.

This was Sent to us earlier, made by some of the Ukrainian residents, to once again convey thanks and gratitude for all the support , kindness and help they have and continue to receive.

They are in the middle of a massive transition, and in the past few days and weeks have had a chance to breathe and reflect on the last 2 months. The kids are in school, some of the adults have found work and are starting courses etc, life is seeming normal, albeit normal in an extraordinary way.

To EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has been of any help to us, and them, no matter how big or small, we thank you sincerely.
For making our guests feel safe, and for once again making them feel happy.

Happy Easter to you all, from all of us and our Ukrainian residents.
Once again we can’t thank you all enough for the extremely generous donations of treats to ensure that all the people here got some chocolate today. As always, we are and they are beyond grateful for your help to make today somewhat normal in a world that is in turmoil.

To each and every business, organization, charity, and person that dropped anything to us, thank you all so very much. We put out a call for help and once again ye blew it out of the water.

We now have plenty eggs to go around on Sunday. Everyone will get a treat, thank you all so so much.

If anyone would still like to drop some treats, little bunny’s etc for the share bowls would be much appreciated.

You are all absolutely incredible and thanks so much for supporting us when we put out calls for help xx

We have had a lot of calls again this week offering Easter treats etc for our Ukrainian guests, and thank you all so very much for your continued support and compassion.

We have been so lucky to have gotten so many eggs donated so far, but to ensure no body is left out We are currently looking for about 100 small eggs (so everyone gets the same size) and some Easter treat bags (bunny’s, chicks, smaller egg hunt type eggs etc) from aldi or lidl that we can put in share bowls on Sunday throughout the day.

The guests here are ok for clothing, toys, arts and crafts etc for now and the kids are having a ball….literally …..with the very generous donations we have received!

Thank you all again, from us and from our guests for your unwavering help and support. We really appreciate it.

LAST SUNDAY….
The kids were treated to pizza, McDonalds and Ice cream, coordinated by Dr Michelle Cooper and sponsored by so many businesses in town.
Declan, from Its my party brought garden games, that the kids had a ball with hand provided ice creams to them after dinner.
It’s the small things that mean the most…..

It has been an absolute whirlwind two weeks, as we have been warmly welcoming and settling in our new Ukrainian residents, following the harrowing events that have unfolded and are continuing to unfold in their home country.

We are completely overwhelmed by the astounding support, kindness, generosity, empathy, compassion shown to them and us since their arrival.

To all of the local businesses, community groups, volunteers, sports clubs, local politicians, the incredible support network of department and NGO staff, our neighbours and friends who have so generously given time, and donations, we are so thankful. We don’t want to name anyone, as so many have been given anonymously, and we would be afraid we’d omit someone.

The Ukrainians wished for us to convey their appreciation to you also. In the following posts, see what these lovely people have to say.

Introducing Mr & Mrs Murrin 🥰

Finally, after a worldwide pandemic, 2 postponements, and an engagement longer than any of us ever saw coming, Fiona and David tied the knot on Friday at the Earl.

Hailing from Coventry, the Concrete Irish connections led them to us, with Fiona’s parents from Kerry and Davids from Mayo!

Friends and family traveled from all over the globe to be with them and the timing to extend the celebrations couldn’t have been better with the game yesterday!!!

Heart and Soul had the floor full, AM sounds made sure it stayed full, and an absolutely epic day was had.

To My fabulous friends, Fi & Dave, we wish you both, and Ciaran, a lifetime filled with happiness, health, love and luck. I couldn’t be happier for you both, and I hope you have endless days like Friday. It has been a pleasure to have been your wedding coordinator, and on behalf of all of us at the Earl, thank you, for choosing us.

And we’re another step closer to seeing ye all. We’re down to single digits of the number of weeks til we reopen for the 2022 season, and we. Cant. Wait.

Roll on the day that the coaches will be filling the car park, we will be hosting weddings and events, chatting to our Sunday Lunch customers, having a bit of banter with our friends and regulars as they have a pint and getting back to doing what we love doing the most.
To all of our colleagues in the wedding and hospitality industry, we are looking forward to being in contact with you in the coming weeks, as we get the final details in place for our first events of the season 🥰

We are so excited that the countdown is on to the Munster Wedding Extravaganza on Sunday the 14th. Tickets are selling FAST, and link to purchase is on their bio!
At the Earl, we cater for weddings from 50-450, with a spacious ballroom that can be adapted in size to suit your requirements. We have 2 wedding packages available, for weddings from 50-99, and weddings of 100+.
On the day of the we have special packages running for weddings of 150+ and if you are looking at a reception of over 200…..we have an added extra, but you’ll have to come and speak to us to find out what it is!!!!
We will also be giving away a break in our wedding suite, entry open to anyone that enquires with us on the day!
Did we say we’re excited!!!!???

The news yesterday that capacity limits are lifted for weddings was welcome news indeed. Welcome news that has been reflected in the surge of emails and messages we have received since with enquiries, and we are so excited to be starting journeys with couples who we will meet as strangers and who will leave us as a married couple as firm friends.
