Bringing South Kerry's whiskeys to North Kerry

We had a brilliant night with the fantastic crowds at John B. Keane's Pub, for a Portmagee Whiskey tasting. An evening of laughter, music, pints, demonstrating great whiskeys in what is one of the best pubs in Kerry. Such a pleasure to talk about the Portmagee story, pour their whiskeys to an excited audience and soak in the buzz, Billy Keane and his lovely stuff created.

Tomorrow, Saturday the 9th, we have the great honour to become a part of the Listowel Food Fair 2024 and do a Portmagee Whiskey tasting at John B. Keane's Pub in Listowel. We will start this guided tasting at 9.00pm and bring the three Portmagee whiskeys with us for you to sample while you learn what's in your glass and who made it. There is no ticket required, so everybody is welcome. Don't miss out on what's promised to be a great night at John B. Keane's Pub. We'll see you tomorrow at 9.00pm in Listowel!

It's a new week and, more importantly, a new month as well. November is finally here, and we can share some amazing news as Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events keeps moving forward, establishing connections and exploring new opportunities. With immediate effect, we have joined the Kerry Convention Bureau as a member to support their fantastic efforts to promote The Kingdom as a destination for business events, incentives, conferences and conventions. We are proud to be part of this network and look forward to meeting many partners, old and new, in the months and years ahead. October has come and gone fast and with its end lurking around the corner, we finished our Di**le Summer Sessions at Foxy John's Pub & Hardware Store tonight. What an incredible time we had since we started in April and we can't express how grateful we are for the massive support we received from John and his fantastic bar team. From giving us the opportunity to use their whiskey room to chalk board promotions and to tiredlessly telling their lovely guests about our Kerry Whiskey Experience. Also, a big thank you to all our wonderful guests who joined us over the last months in Di**le. We loved having you around, sampling and talking about the fab whiskeys from our Kerry brands.

Last night, Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry was part of a fam trip for a lovely group of MICE companies from Ireland & the UK, exploring the beautiful town of Tralee. Invited by Kerry Convention Bureau and The Rose Hotel Tralee, the experts were treated to a bespoke Queens of the Kingdom Gin Masterclass in the fabulous setting of the Rós Buí Terrace. An exciting venue, a brilliant group and it has been an absolute pleasure to take part in showcasing what Kerry has to offer.

Last night, we had the best time welcoming a local group of gin lovers to the launch of our Queens of the Kingdom Gin Masterclass. It was such a pleasure to host these lovely people who massively enjoyed the unique flavours of our local gins and the brand stories of Kerry's craft producers Skellig Six18 Distillery, Di**le Distillery and Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co. We finished the session with an incredibly well-received Irish Negroni, introducing the Valentia Island Vermouth for the first time. A special treat was the zesty citrus-infused milk chocolates made by Tralee Chocolate Heaven.

Thanks to the 2024 Kerry Rose Emer Dineen, Suzan O'Gara of the Kerry Rose Centre, Kerry Radio's one and only Elaine Kinsella, the amazing Emma O'Connor, my favourite barber Labi and his beautiful partner Hanna for being such a great group for our 1st Queens of the Kingdom Gin Masterclass. Also, a big shout out to the team of McCaffrey's Bar Tralee for their hospitality.

Talking about neighbours: These two dear fellas truely are from the same hood. While the Liberator Whiskey matures in the historic storehouse on the grounds of the O'Connell's Lakeview Estate in Fossa, Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co. has settled a few hundred meters further down the road and set up an impressive home for their brewing and distilling business. Our guests love this Killarney connection!

We are beyond excited to add another brilliant local product to our tasting range. The lovely sweet Valentia Island Vermouth will become an essential part of our newest Kerry tasting package. Here's a little throwback to our first tasting event in the whiskey parlour at Pig's Lane in Killarney. We had the great honour and pleasure of introducing a fantastic group of Teknologföreningen from Finland to our Kerry Whiskey Experience. We all were amazed by the atmosphere in this very unique venue and the feedback we got from the good folks from Finland blew us away.

Hailing from Cahersiveen and Portmagee, only a short 15-minute ride separates Skellig Six18 Distillery from Portmagee Whiskey.
