After wind and rain and two days of cancellations, we had a fab day at the Festive Market at the Island of Geese Tralee. We didn't really know what to expect, but the crowds were great, and it was good fun introducing Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry to the people of Tralee and the surrounding areas. And the Christmas market, now running in its 3rd year, had been amazing. Such a lovely, colourful and festive presentation! It's running again tonight from 5pm - 9pm - Due to a previous occupation, without us, unfortunately.

While another winter storm is approaching our coast tonight and literally blew away the opening night of The Island of Geese Festive Evening Market, we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow from 5pm and on Sunday from 2pm. Recently, we met a good few big groups at different venues across the Kingdom. But hands down, we love a small group tasting. Like yesterday, when we had the pleasure to meet a lovely couple and her daughter for a private Kerry Whiskey Experience at a festive Pig's Lane Killarney. The guys went for our South Kerry Twist, so they enjoyed three fab Kerry whiskeys and an Irish Manhattan, using the best South Kerry spirits by Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co., Skellig Six18 Distillery, Liberator Whiskey, Portmagee Whiskey, and Valentia Island Vermouth.

Now cheer up! The season's upon us.

Last night was a fantastic night in the festive setting of McCaffrey's Bar Tralee for our first Meals on Wheels Tralee Charity Whiskey Tasting, raising funds for their most important work. A total of €600.00 was collected from ticket sales and donations and will go directly to Paddy Kevane and his team and support their daily deliveries, the Meals on Wheels Café on Upper Rock Street, Tralee, and their upcoming Community Christmas Day Dinner.

For the tasting event, a lovely group gathered and was treated to a complimentary welcome drink by McCaffrey's and tasty finger food prepared by Meals on Wheels Café. The vibes in the room were brilliant when we poured the first of five local Kerry whiskeys, kindly donated by Portmagee Whiskey , Skellig Six18 Distillery, Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co. , Wayward Irish Spirits (Liberator Whiskey)and Di**le Distillery. The group massively enjoyed the brand stories and the navigation through the different flavour profiles of each spirit and the details about how they were made.

We would like to thank the team at McCaffrey's for their generosity and help, the Kerry whiskey makers for their donations and all attendees for making the night a big success in aid of Meals on Wheels Tralee.

A brilliant whiskey with a flavour profile that adds massively to the Single Pot Still category. We are grateful for this contribution from Portmagee Whiskey and can't wait to start pouring.

Maurice O'Connell dug out an awesome bottle for our Meals on Wheels Charity Whiskey Tasting. Released as a Storehouse Special, the cask for this highly limited whiskey has travelled back and forth between McGills Brewery and the Lakeview Estate, home of The Liberator Whiskeys. At our tasting, you will explore the influences of port and stout on both grain whiskey and malt whiskey. Something not to be missed, and we are humbled by Maurice's generous bottle donation.

Alright, let's take a closer look at Meals on Wheels Tralee! We picked this local charity for our 1st Charity Whiskey Tasting because 'amazing' can't describe the job they do. Run by volunteers, they deliver fresh meals to people in need and are their daily support. Their community café offers delicious food five days per week and revenue supports the meal deliveries.

Ticket sales for our Meals on Wheels Charity Whiskey Tasting on December 1st at McCaffrey's Bar will support their work, and we are glad to be able to contribute to this great cause. Yesterday evening, we brought three lovely spirits to the autumn gathering of the Original Irish Hotels held at Ballyseede Castle Hotel in . After a session of Irish dance practising, we had the great pleasure of treating the thirsty group to a combined gin & whiskey tasting.

Big thanks to the OIH group and to Ballyseede Castle & team for the invite. It's been a real pleasure and great honour to be among so many proprietors of the best Irish hotels showcasing the great spirits made in the Kingdom of Kerry.

We had a brilliant night with the fantastic crowds at John B. Keane's Pub, for a Portmagee Whiskey tasting. An evening of laughter, music, pints, demonstrating great whiskeys in what is one of the best pubs in Kerry. Such a pleasure to talk about the Portmagee story, pour their whiskeys to an excited audience and soak in the buzz, Billy Keane and his lovely stuff created.
