My name is Anne Ronayne, I am a family and funeral celebrant based in Co. Mayo, Ireland.
What I do: I perform civil ceremonies, that is baby naming ceremonies, weddings, vow renewals, funerals, and memorial services.
Planning a wedding is a very exciting time! Deciding to have a civil ceremony means you have total control and can include the people and elements that will make your day extra special!
What is a civil ceremony? A civil ceremony is not based on any religion or faith. The ceremony is created just for you. It can be held in any location and involve as many or as little people as you would like. You are welcome to include prayers or hymns in the ceremony, but I am not able to perform any sacraments or similar religious rituals.
How do we get started? Please contact me by email or phone at [email protected] or phone +353 (0) 871732952. I will answer any questions you might have and then arrange to meet with you and go through all the elements of the ceremony. Each ceremony I create is bespoke and made just for you or your loved one.
What happens next? That all depends on the type of ceremony you are having.
Please note: I only book a limited number of weddings and baby naming ceremonies a year. Never more than 1 per week. This is so I can devote myself completely to you and your ceremony.
Do we have to get legally married to have a ceremony?: No! Some couples, who are not intending on getting legally married, would still like a ceremony to declare their love and commitment to each other in the company of family and friends. If that is what you are looking for, I would be delighted to work with you to create a very special day.
