This is a five week course starting on Wednesday 22nd May until 19th June. Class is from 6:45 to 9:15pm. You will need a sewing machine for this class. Please make sure your machine is in working order for the class. A sewing machine can be provided if required but please confirm before booking that a machine will be available.
What will you learn?

Week 1 Introduction to Sewing Machine

Learn how to use your sewing machine including different stitches and attachments. Learn to create different seam types, this is good practice for sewing straight lines. Learn to hand sew different types of buttons

Week 2 Hems

Different types of hems will be covered in week two including double turned hems, curved hem and blind hem stitch on sewing machine.

Week 3 Zips

Learn to sew two different types of zips including an invisible zip and nylon coil zip. All zips will be provided.

Week 4 Alterations

Students will be asked to bring garments that need altering or mending. These will be small projects such as turning up trousers, mending a tear or replacing a zip.

Week 5 Cushion Making

Students will be supplied with fabric and zip to make a cushion cover.

Students will be shown how to use button hole attachment on their machine. This class will also cover how to create frills using a gathering stitch.

🏊 Open Water Lifeguard Course 🌟

👉When: Friday 10th, Saturday 11th, Sunday 12th of May
👉Where: Virginia Show Centre Virginia

✔️Prerequisites:
🟠Be 16-years-old or over at the time of assessment
🟣 Be competent and confident in open-water
🔵 Be able to submerge under the water confidently
🟢 Before the course, candidates must be able to swim at least 400 metres in a pool/ open water swimming continuously on their front and show urgency.

👉If you hold a valid Pool Lifeguard qualification awarded by the RLSS UK you can complete the Open Water add on for €150.

🏅Cost of the full course €299. Ex booking fee
