I was asked yesterday, 'Ciara, why would you post about being nominated if you didn't know you were going to win, wasn't that a bit premature'

This kind of mindframe is not where I play.

This is a lack mindframe, a scarcity mindframe, a fearfull mindframe and none of those are spaces I frequent ... EVER.

See, I didn't start writing for a magazine because I might win something. In fact I never knew when I signed up to become a contributing writer that winning anything was even on the cards.

I became a writer for a magazine because I loved the idea of writing what I wanted, how I wanted and giving a wider audience the chance to read something that resonated.

But that wasn't even the reason

I started writing so I could write. I LOVE writing.

I'm a fan of the moment, the adventure, the JOURNEY there … wherever there is.

The end result is cool, obviously, its awesome to win, to succeed, to achieve. I love a good win as much as anyone.

BUT

The end result isn't the only place you get a win, or an achievement or success.

When people say winning isn't everything, they mostly mean because their programming is telling them that 'second place is just a first place loser' or however that saying goes, and they are hedging their bets by playing it cool IN CASE they don't win.

I don't do 'in case' thinking.

What I mean when I say winning isn't everything is, there is sooooo much more than just the win.

The win is the cherry on top of a fu***ng awesome cake that took time to research how to make, bake and cover.

I'm all about the cake. I even had the nickname becaue of a late night shop run while in hospital with my son, for a Victoria sponge. ( a story for another time 🤣 )

And though I'm not a big fan of cherries, I'll take the win whenever its given as an end result, but I also have all the wins along the way.

There is a saying 'you win some, you lose some'

In my world … you win them all, it's all about perspective.

Change your perspective, you'll always win!

The difference 20 minutes make.

This evenings offering for the sunset bucket list.

I'm not a big fan of painting BUT my boy and I decided that we would paint the house ... one wall per day!!!

Yup!

See, it doesn't feel daunting or like too much effort, when I think about it like that.

This way I will masking tape the wall I'm working on, take my time setting up, enjoy what I'm doing and feel accomplished every day.

There are always other ways to get things done. Doing it all at once, getting it all done together, 'working hard', putting in the maximum amount of effort, getting up off your ass and blitzing it etc ... are not the only ways.

I didn't know that until 3 years ago.

Pre 3 years ago I was THE person everyone would come to when they wanted something done yesterday and excellently.

I was the on the ball, high action, over achieving whizz who could do it all for everyone, AND myself and get all the jobs done.

I was the definition of a bulldozer! Nothing wrong with it, it served me well ... then!

And then ... I realised I was fu***ng exhausted.

My whole nervous system was in flight or fight ALL. THE. TIME.

And, chronic stress was my constant companion, but I didn't know that!!!

When I figured it out and finally took a breath, all bets were off.

I shut down and rested and I've been doing that for 3 years in the most perfect way.

My deep, divine, powerFULL, peaceful, creative, all seeing feminine self stood still and she has been enjoying the view ever since.

Now:
I am a whizz when its required.
I get stuff done fast when its required
I am ready willing and able when required.

On my time
In my way
When I desire to be.

So, rather than freak myself out at the horrific thoughts of having to paint the whole house in a certain time because that's the 'best' way to do it, or the most efficient, or the way the pros do it, I figured out a way to do it that suits me.

Why am I telling you this?

Well, just because something is done a certain way doesn't mean you have to do it that way.

You can choose your own way.

You can be different

The sunset changes every evening, even though the evening before was as perfect as it could be.

It doesn't conform to what was ... just because.

It redefines the definition of perfection and whats right every single day.

So do I!

So can you!

What are you doing because its what you've always done and because its what everyone else says is the right way or the norm?

How could you change it up so its more right for you?

The Alien in the Sky

Its on the bucket list
A daily dose of the sun as it sets
Unhurried and calm
The kind of regular occurrence that's well met

Then I saw it
The alien in the sky
With its hand up to feed itself
As the world passes by

And inside its body
A heart outlined from trees
This alien sunset
Brought me to my knees

As I looked out my window
And was awed by its perfection
I took picture after picture
To keep in my collection

And then I realised that the view
Was slipping away fast
While I was busy snapping
The sunset wouldn't last

So I put down my camera
And chose to witness the whole scene
The sunset and the alien
And ponder what it means

As I took a breath and smiled out loud
My insides smiled as well
As the calmness it washed over me
My alien sunset said fairwell

So goodbye til tomorrow
I'll be back and so will you
And we will both be different
You'll see me and I'll see you

In all our perfect splendour
As we unhurriedly make time
For this our evening encounter
Which is thoroughly sublime.

People think, they believe, that they know you.

Then they expect you to behave and be according to what they 'know' of you.

When you deviate from what they know, i.e CHANGE, they blame you for being different ( which is not in their expected knowing of you ).

Then, they feel like you owe them an explanation and an apology for your change in behaviour or routine.

You don't owe them that.

You don't owe them anything.

No matter who they are to you.

You get to be you.

Entirely.

Whoever that is!

And however many times you change.

It is your perogative, and in fact your responsibility to BE unapologetically true to you, ALL the facets and iterations of you as they evolve.

Never let someone else's expectations of the perceived version of you they hold, dictate who or how you actually are.

What an awesome day.

My name is Ciara and I'm going to take a moment of your time to introduce myself and share my time.

Ive been a 'coach' in some form or other for 20 years and while I love the work I do, I no longer have any desire for the word coach becsue if falls very short of what I do and who i am.

I'm a guide!

I'm also a Mom and absolutely love that part of myself, probably MORE than any other.

I'm a visionary, a seer and my clair senses are wide open.

My expertise is the TRUTH. I can see it, hear it, sense it, feel it, taste it, speak to it and find it, all the time. I'm a big fan. Ive studied it over the span of my whole life, inately and speficically. More recently I am looking at how the truth effects the brain and want to find some neuroscience people to discuss MRI scans and colours with.

You all know at this stage just how much I love to write.

Poetry, as disruptive as possible whenever possible, and its always possible.

I've written stories about a pixie called Flicky while travelling that saved a girls life.

I've been writing books and poems and stories since I was a child and needed an outlet for my many giant sized emotions.

I've written parts of, and hated all of the last 4 books I started, realising that they were the things I thought needed to be written rather than felt wanted to be written.

I am finishing a book of poems created in the passed 2 years.

Writing my book that I finally love ALL of, and am uber excited for it to be done and ready to share.

And leading a gorgeous collaborative mothering book project that is taking the most beautiful shape.

As I sat thinking about all that the other day and my innate love and desire of and to write, I had a light bulb moment and realised sharing that passion and the 'how to for you' of it all would just be the most awesome thing to do.

Today I woke up to the excitement that I had an epic conversation with epic people lined up.

And it didn't disappoint!

I then read an article about Molly Mae Hague and something she said about all of us having the same 24 hours in the day and all of us being able to create whatever we wanted with our lives, NO MATTER OUR CIRCUMSTANCES.

She got slated for that apparently, and thats to be expected as people using their circumstances as a reason why they are not living the lives they desire will always be triggered ( could be activated if willing ) when someone speaks to that truth!

Your circumstances DO NOT define you ( unless YOU allow them to!!! )

YOU DEFINE YOU!

You are far more powerful, able and capable than your institutionalised, circumstantialised, deeply indoctrinated human self is allowing you to be.

You have the power, decision and choice to soar NO MATTER WHAT.

You have the potential to come up with an idea and bring it forth and make life magical for yourself.

My sister shared this video with me and I want to share it with you.

This is a visual example of someone having an idea, understanding his power and bringing it to where it needs to go to get it to its next level.

Humanly speaking .... you, I, we, us are no different to this man. No matter ours or his circumstances, we can all take this chance and rise.

More than humanly speaking, many never will.

How often have you allowed who you are, why you are who you are, where you are and what you are, define your life?

What ideas do you have that you are not bringing forward because you are choosing to cripple yourself with your current circumstances?

When was the last time ( if ever ) that you decided to see if there was another way?

Watch this and then let's chat about whats in your head and heart waiting for the chance to come out and play ... REGARDLESS OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES or maybe even BECAUSE of them!

The 'heros journey' is just another story of limiting beliefs and patterns.

For there to he a hero, then there must be a struggle the hero has to go through.

What if we didn't see struggle as something that had to be fought to overcome!

What if we didn't need to make ourselves be the heros of our own lives because, we already saw ourselves as everything we needed no matter what.

What if everything we have ever been told/learned/believe is all just made up by others because of their own experiences and perceptions.

And it all is actually just that.

What if is a powerful question, when you are willing to see beyond what you perceive and ask the question of what actually is.

And all that is ... is now.

The past is gone, now and now and now
The future is here now and now and now
The future is literally now and now and now.

Therefore now ( this moment ) is all there is.

Nothing before now is relevant to now.
Nothing after now will be relevant to now.

What if now is all there is, and we lived in it.

No hero, no struggle, no over thinking, no comparison, no no-thing but precisely now.

The pleasure would be immense..

The notion of instant gratification that so many want and have the need for in the future would become magnificent, and a thing because, we would be experiencing everything now!

I have been living the quietest life for 18 months. The quietest its ever been.

And it has nothing to do with convid and a plandemic and idiotic cockdowns or any of the madness that has transpired in the last 22 months.

It has been all to do with huge shift in self awareness, a whole new level of awakening, an enlightenment of beautiful and epic proportions and everything that goes with that.

Before now I was aware of life, of being part of life, I saw life and everything in and about it and always took time to appreciate it, no matter what.

I saw colours, the trees glowing, energy radiating off everything, I saw life breathing everywhere I was.

It was magnificent!

No matter the things that happened, the experiences that came and went, I saw life at its fullest, at its most beautiful ALL THE TIME.

Now, I can SEE it, HEAR it, FEEL it, SMELL it and TASTE it.

In the quiet I can sense everything.

So when its loud now, I know everything is there.

I am more present to the moment, and in the moment than I have ever been.

I switched off every part of who I WAS and THAT turned on every part of who I AM!

I don't need to be a hero
I don't need to over think
I don't need to struggle
I don't need to compare
I don't need to do anything other than be here now.

Everything else will take care of itself.

What if we all trusted that to be true?

If we are perfectly present in this moment, everything else will take care of itself!

What doubts and needs arise for you inside that possibility?

Speak to them, name them.

NOW ...

What if you let those doubts and needs go?
