While the talk here in Israel is more about last week’s election results or the upcoming World Cup in Qatar (from Nov. 20th, for those who care ;-) ), Thanksgiving, celebrated primarily in the US, is fast approaching (Nov. 24th this year).
Many former Americans living here still celebrate it, either on the day (4th Thursday of the month) or the following Shabbat, with its many traditional foods.
Even tho it’s an especially American holiday, it’s always a good time to be thankful for what we have and to enjoy some traditional Thanksgiving food, which is, on the whole, not traditional Israel Shabbat food!
For us, it’s a chance to mix things up a bit with our special Thanksgiving menu, offering some items we don’t normally do during the year.
Deadline for Thanksgiving orders is Thursday, Nov. 17th.

Sorry for the delay - attached is our summer meal package menu (this week is obviously not relevant). We're here to help you enjoy your summer and avoid excessive time in the hot, sweaty kitchen (that's what we're here for!).
Taste of Talbieh/Marc of Excellence is offering, as every summer, a different menu, including various choices, each week, to be ordered for Shabbat by that Tuesday before noon. Each package includes an appetizer, 2 salads, main, side & dessert. Some items can be divided into 2. Chicken is mehadrin, meat is chalak/glatt. Private hashgacha by Rabbi Gedalia Meyer of Maale Adumim.
Delivery to Jerusalem 50 NIS per week; delivery within Maale Adumim 25 NIS per week, free in Mitzpe Nevo. Contact us separately for delivery to other locations.

To all our loyal followers and customers, in case you've inquired, or thought of writing, regarding our Pesach catering plans, while we deeply appreciate your reaching out and asking whether we're doing Pesach catering and if we can send you a menu, we would've of course posted a menu here if we had one, but we stopped catering for Pesach 5-6 years ago; it just got to be too much for us, and we're deeply enjoying the relaxed chag and time before/during to spend with family and friends.
There's a whole 'new' generation of Kosher for Pesach caterers out there (your can ask Dr. Google or go to eluna.com) and you'll no doubt find several who can make your chag easy and tasty.
Meanwhile, wishing you all a chag kasher v'sameach and - for the moment, at least ;-) - continue using us during the rest of the year, especially the Fall chagim, summer and Thanksgiving when we offer special menus!

The Thanksgiving holiday, celebrated mainly in the US, is fast approaching (Nov. 25th this year). Even tho it’s an especially American holiday, it’s always a good time to be thankful for what we have and to enjoy some traditional Thanksgiving food, which is, on the whole, not traditional Israel Shabbat food!
For us, it’s a chance to mix things up a bit with our special Thanksgiving menu, offering some items we don’t normally do during the year.
Deadline for Thanksgiving orders is Thursday, Nov. 18th.
As usual, under the Kashrut supervision of Rabbi Gedalia Meyer; all meat is chalak, chicken/turkey is mehadrin. Produce this year is Heter Mechira.

Hard to believe that we will be welcoming the New Year of 5782 in 3 weeks!!!
Even though we don’t know yet if we’ll be celebrating yet another year in lockdown, we’ll still have to eat! ;-)
Attached is our menu for the upcoming 2021 Holiday season (Rosh Hashanah and Succot deliveries) with a wide range of foods for you to enjoy and make things easier for you.
Please note that the deadline for placing orders for Rosh Hashanah is Sunday, August 29th. Deliveries in Jerusalem & surrounding areas will be on Sunday, Sept. 5th (no pickups in JM due to Covid), & deliveries & pickups in Maale Adumim will be erev chag, Monday, Sept. 6th.
As noted on the menu, this coming year is a Shmittah year, as we all know; for catering we will be observing Heter Mechirah for all our produce; we will try to buy as much of the holiday produce as we can before RH. Most of the frozen vegetables we buy are mehadrin, imported (except for Broccoli, which is local but picked/packed before Shmittah).
As usual, our meat is Chalak/Glatt and our chickens are Mehadrin.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

So, whether or not you plan on ordering from us, we wish you all a happy and healthy New Year, filled with nachat and contentment and only good things.

Each week offers a different choice of items and includes one appetizer, 2 salads and one each (often can be split) main, side and dessert. Delivery in and around Jerusalem. Although Thanksgiving will not be the same this year, regardless of where it's celebrated, those of us in Israel used to celebrating with friends and family (either Thursday evening, Nov. 26th this year or the following Shabbat) may still want to enjoy some traditional foods. Don't know how many of you have already started planning your upcoming holiday menus, but Rosh Hashanah is only 3 1/2 weeks away!!

We are now under the private supervision of Maale Adumim's own Rabbi Gedalia Meyer. Meat is all chalak, chicken products mehadrin.
This year, more than ever, with so many things still up in the air, we’re here to assure you that, come what may, your food needs will all be taken care of!
Ordering deadlines are Sunday, Sept. 6th for RH and Monday, Sept. 21st for Succot. Deliveries & pickups in Maale Adumim on Fridays arvei chag.

Hi, friends:
It's been a while since we've posted, for obvious reasons.
We’re back in the kitchen and, as promised, you'll find here our 2020 annual Summer Meal Package menu.
We’re starting earlier than in the past, offering you about 2 1/2 months’ worth of tasty takeout meals.
This is probably more relevant this year, since in addition to taking advantage of these money-saving packages if you *do* go away (somewhere in Israel at this point), it will hopefully make dealing with staying at home in the heat a bit easier for you as well.
Each package consists of a full meal for six (or 3 meals for 2!): Appetizer, two salads, main, side & dessert, either meat, pareve or dairy. [Some (not all!) items can be split into 2 different ones.] Each week offers a different variety of dishes.
Meat is glatt, chickens are mehadrin, and we are under the private Hashgacha of Rabbi Gedalia Meyer.
Each package is 475 NIS each (incl. VAT), and any two (ordered at the same time, but can be for different weeks) are 900 NIS.
As noted, deliveries are free in Maale Adumim. Jerusalem deliveries are 35 NIS per package.
Order by midday Tuesday for that Shabbat (see dates on menu).

Dear FB Friends of Taste of Talbieh/Marc of Excellence: In these tense and unsure times, many of you/us are reluctant to venture outside to shop - and often don't have the chance, since so many stores are currently closed.
Although we no longer cater for Pesach (Passover), we still have 3 or so weeks til that holiday begins, and while you're busy preparing for it, remember that we are here to help provide your weekday and Shabbat meals and make your lives a bit easier and relaxed.
Place your order by Tuesday morning (best by telephone) for that Shabbat.
In the meantime, we're sending our best wishes to all of you for health, calm and a Chag Pesach Kasher v'Sameach!

Tisha b'Av is almost over, as is this year's summer vacation. If you're going away or want to take a break from cooking this month, Taste of Talbieh/Marc of Excellence Catering still has our popular summer meal packages available.
For 475 NIS you can order a choice of foods for a meal for 6 (or use the food for several smaller meals). Call by Tuesday morning for orders for the following Shabbat.
