विनम्र अभिवादन!!

मनाला विषण्ण करणारी घटना, कळत्या वयात त्यांच्या गाण्याने केलेले गारुड विसरु शकत नाही.
सवाई गंधर्व संगीत महोत्सवात हजारो श्रोत्यांना मंत्रमुग्ध करणारे गाणे, संपूर्ण पेंडालला डोलायला लावताना लीलया तिन्ही सप्तकात भ्रमंती करणारे, देखणे , श्रीमंत, सुरेल गाणे विसरणे अशक्य. त्यावेळेस सोनी 90 कॅसेटवर फिलीप्स टेपरेकॉर्डर वर टेप केलेला राग जोग हजारदा ऐकला असावा. पुढे आमच्या कित्येक कार्यक्रमात तो ओपनिंग राग होता.
एक ऐश्र्वर्य संपन्न व्यक्तिमत्व. आता पुन्हा ॐ श्री अनंत नारायण...ही सुरेल लाइव्ह सुरुवात ऐकायला मिळणार नाही.
पण आता तो अनंतच चिंब होईल.

Having seen 'Maifil' very closely for 3 decades now, it gives us immense pleasure to revisit the hard but worthful journey of this organization, as it enters into the Digital Era of Concerts with curtain raiser event on this independence day.

"Alibag must also contribute to the rich heritage of Indian classical music and become a platfrom for budding and established artists alike" Born as figment of this imagination, Maifil has truly fulfilled the aspirations of its founding members Dr. Prahsant Ghateji, Mr Uday Shevadeji, Mr Santosh Vazeji and my father Bhalchandra Deshpandeji.

Over the course of its long voyage, I have been very fortunate to have witnessed and experienced the richness of Classical music.

Remembering the early years of organization, when even resources were not abundant, the experience and the affluence of Maifil Events always used to be the finest. Stage of Maifil has been honoured by the performances of Legendary artists over last 30+ years including Padma Bhushan Ustad Zakir Hussain ji,
Pt. Yashwant bua Joshiji , Padma Vibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasiyaji, Padma Vibhushan Pt. Shivkumar Sharmaji,
Padma Bhushan Dr. Prabha Atreji and many more Stalwarts.

Artists in those days often used to stay humbly at organizers house itself which inturn gave us an opportunity to see the artists from very close quarters and interact with them from a very young age.

Today as Maifil is ready to host its first digital event, We feel deeply grateful to not just the founders of Maifil but to all the artists and raisks who have seemlessly showered their affection upon this organization.
