Our Next Speaker is Dr. U.K. Mishra - an Icon, Visionary and Philanthropist, who revolutionized the concept of blending Academics with Sports.

Starting with a vision of "Olympic Medal and Fitness for All", he founded the country's best Gymnastics Training Centre in Khel Gaon, Allahabad that provides Free-of-Cost training to gymnasts across various marginalized strata of society. His gymnasts have won more than 2,000 medals at various international and national championships including the Commonwealth & Asian Games and include prodigies like Siddharth Nigam. Ashish kumar gymnast, the first Indian to bag a gold for the nation in the Commonwealth was also a trainee at his institute.

He has also founded the first school of its kind, Khelgaon Public School, that provides latest, World-Class Education with compulsory Sports for overall development of every child in its all-inclusive sprawling Green Campus and blends modern Education with Indian values.

Next, in our lineup, we have speakers from Project Shakti of Dantewada district - four women, who countered the way of extremism by taking up micro-entrepreneurial ventures with the help of the district administration to build multiple SHGs registered under various schemes of the Government of India such as ICDS, NRLM. By linking 950 women SHGs and more than 10,000 women/ families to an objective income generating scheme, Project Shakti has effectively helped counter the LWE propaganda.

Our Next Speaker is the fastest woman rally driver in India and the winner of major cross-country rallies in the women's category that took place in the country - Bani Yadav. A mother of two, who started racing as a profession only 4 years ago with the encouragement provided by her husband, after her kids had grown up. Within this short span of 4 years, she has won numerous accolades, like being the first woman to come an Overall second in the IRC - Rally De North - 2016, 1st Indian Woman to drive a Formula 4 car on the Yas Marina track in Abu Dhabi, Best Sportsperson Award for 2017 by Haryana State Government and many more.

Having witnessed the problems of slum dwellers first hand, especially children, they established and now runs an NGO Voice of Slum with the motive to assimilate these less fortunate children by providing them quality education and access to opportunities. Our next speaker is Prem Kumar Singh an ace mountaineer who had scaled 15 summits around the world. In 2013 alone, Prem had climbed the highest mountains on 4 continents, including Mount Everest (Asia), Mount Elbrus (Europe), Aconcagua (South-America) and Puncak Jaya (Oceania). He has also won the NDTV Prime reality show "XC Adventure"

He would be speaking about behind the curtain story of "Why do we climb mountains?
What the reason behind people going to such extreme locations in some brutal conditions and what is that they gain out of it?"

So, here comes the 2nd speaker for TEDxMNNIT. Smita Majumder is a US based entrepreneur, now in India working on spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship and global citizenship through two of her initiatives. She co-founded Youngpreneurs India, to make entrepreneurship education a part of the high school curriculum in India. She is the founder of Organization for Youth Engagement in Sustainability, India - O-YES India (oyesindia.org), an organization which aims to educate and engage Indian youth in the Sustainable Development Goals. She is also a member of the Global Action Committee for United Nations Teach SDGs to create global projects that promote the SDGs. Leaving India right after high school to pursue her higher education in the US, Smita has a Bachelors in Biomedical Technology, a Masters in Cancer Biology from the University of Massachusetts and worked in cancer research, but switched gears from science to do an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Johns Hopkins University. Her goal now is to focus on Indian youth to create entrepreneurial, global citizens, through a 'think globally, act locally' outlook.
