Accommodation is provided by the host community in their homes. In return you are able to absorb the local village culture through shared meals, discussions and language exchange, sightseeing, and various activities. This programme creates a very unique Kumaun experience. It will enlighten your perspective of day to day life in a rural village setting. We have provided a general itinerary to give
you an idea of the amazing experiences you will have. Activities are based around spending time with your host family helping them in their daily tasks. These vary from family to family however the most common activities you would participate in are: harvesting grass for livestock, collecting firewood, sowing, obtaining water, market shopping , milking the cows, learn and see local handicrafts like local rangoli’s, mud plaster etc. The village houses have been partially renovated and toilets and bathrooms added without spoiling the ambience. Freshen up with a hot bucket bath. Food is cooked hygienically. Temperature: The temperature will be approx. between 25-30 degrees during May and June.
