BBCh24 Race #03 | MTB (XCO) Race | FAQs and Instructions

I hope you are all set for the BBCh MTB (XCO) Race this Sunday. Here are some very important sets of FAQs and instructions.
Kindly go through all the points. It should not take you more than 10–15 minutes.

NOTE:
1. REQUESTING PARENTS: Make sure your kid(s) will not ride on the race trail at the time the other category's race is going on.
2. U12 and U06 Categories: PLEASE DO NOT RIDE ON THE RACE TRIAL/TRACK WHILE OTHER CATEGORIES RACE.
3. Avalahalli Entry Fee Update: Avalahalli Park's entry fees are waived off for ONLY the BBCh participants. However, other spectators, parents, relatives, and friends are required to pay the designated Avalahalli park fees at the entrance. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Kindly park your car on the single side of the road.

4. Registration Desk
Registration desk is near the start line. BIBs will be issued by 6:05 AM onwards. Riders should report 50 minutes before their category’s start time, collect BIB, and do other stuff.

5. BIBs on handlebar
Kindly attach the BIB on the handlebar so that it’s clearly visible from the front. If BIBs are not correctly placed and visible, the timing team may have issues in capturing your details.

6. The Podium The Podium ceremony will be held at 09:45 a.m. The Podium will be near the registration desk.

7. *Return BIB, Collect Finisher Medal Breakfast.
*Mandatory for all - DO NOT MISS Return your BIB.
Very important, Return your BIB and then collect your finisher medal and your Breakfast. No exceptions - Please DO NOT forget to return the bib under any circumstances!

8. Nutrition/Water Stations
Water and refreshments will be available at the Start point and at the Finish point.

9. Safety
Riding safety is of utmost importance to us. We have designated enough volunteers at the course of the race. Riders are instructed to strictly follow the cycle racing etiquette (like riding a straight line, controlling your speed, anticipating possible problems, watching the road ahead of you and being alert for activity in your peripheral vision, etc)

No helmet, No race. Proper cycling Helmets are mandatory. You are more than welcome to sport additional safety gear as required.

Standard Operating Procedure for BBCh Race
Below are additional rules for the event. These are not mere guidelines!

These rules are to be adhered to in addition to the usual rules and regulations found here: https://bbch.in/rules-and-regulations/

We are all here to race, not to infect anyone or catch an infection.
· Your safety (road safety & COVID19) is your own responsibility and BBCh is no-way responsible for that.
· We assume that you have completed at least one of your vaccinations.
· Social distancing is strongly suggested.
· Wearing a mask till you are flagged off is advisable. You will carry your mask during the race and put it back on as soon as you cross the finish line.
· Use appropriate personal sanitization when required
· Bib distribution will be done in a staggered line.
· Please be aware that the races will go on in future, and this is not the 'must attend' event in case you are unwell for some reason. So please be judicial about your participation.
· Please be informed that if there is any new government order regarding the event, it might get postponed or canceled at the last moment.
· All additional Covid19 guidelines laid down by the government and local civic bodies apply.

Just like the riders who are looking to get faster with each race, at BBCH we are always looking at ways to improve with each race. With the intent of contributing positively to the environment, we are planning to recycle the BIB numbers we use at the races this season.
