NAMMA BENGALURU PREMIER LEAGUE 2023 -
An Inter-Apartment Cricket Tournament.
This is an 8-overs-a-side (underarm) mixed tournament that is open to all - where you get to play for your Apartment Complex and your neighborhood (zone). Each team will have an equal number of men, women, and teenage players, all from the same Apartment Complex/Society/Association.
The aim is to get everyone away from their screens and out of their homes to play an exciting league-cum-knockout tournament. There are attractive cash awards, and no entry or registration fees. It will be played over weekends in April & May 2023.
Stage 1 will be League Phase for Zones. Winners of each neighborhood (Zones) will move to the Quarter Finals of the Knock-out stage to decide the Namma Bengaluru Premier League Championship 2023 WINNER.
So, form your team as soon as possible and get in touch with us to book your slot. It's first-come-first-serve - and for this inaugural edition, we are accepting only 4 teams per neighborhood(zone).

Madhura Datar is not a new face on Maam Entertainment stage. She is a student of Hridayanath Mangeshkar and has been highly appreciated by Lata Didi and also by Asha Tai in our The Rendezvous concert with her on September 9th. 2017.
Needless to mention, Madhura has built a strong RISHTEY with her Bengaluru fans. For the first time, the Winner of the maiden SAREGAMA, playback singer Sanjeevani Bhelande will be featuring in a Maam Entertainment concert in Bengaluru. We are honoured and excited to have her in our RISHTEY 3 – Remembering Lata Didi concert July 2nd. at Chowdiah.

Her first break as a playback singer was in the movie Kareeb where her song Chori chori jab nazrein mili became an instant hit and won her a Best Singer award. Her spiritual tracks have crossed 40 million hits, thus making her an YouTube Star.

To her credit, she has also authored a book and cut an album on Meerabai’s songs in English.

An Unforgettable Experience

15 years back, we had made a request to our mentor, the person who initiated us into the world of producing concerts, a man by then already acknowledged as “The King of Ghazals”, someone who loved and cared for both of us from deep inside his heart, someone who always encouraged us in our difficult times by saying “Just call me, I will come and do a concert for you”, Shri Jagjit Singh ji to conduct a ‘Ghazal Workshop’ for the benefit of budding Ghazal singers of Bangalore on the following day of his concert ‘Face to Face’. He agreed.

Next day, on September 10, 2006 morning he walked in the make-shift classroom at Chancery Pavilion in an immaculate white half-shirt worn loosely over a trouser. After checking all the arrangements he requested for a white board and chalk and announced “It will be a serious class.”

What transpired in the next 3 hours was utterly out of the world. It was amazing and mesmerizing….as we watched engrossed to see how he taught the ghazal aspirants the finer nuances of singing ghazal… on how to do Riaz, how to pronounce, clarity of dialects, how to understand the ghazal couplets and express them though one’s gayaki, etc.

Today on his 81st birthday, we share this lovely memory with our Pronam to the great Soul. Hope you will enjoy every moment of this unique, one and only Ghazal Workshop taken by the Ghazal Maestro.

Two years back on 71st. Republic Day, CMCA- Children's Movement For Civic Awareness and Maam Entertainment, paid tribute to six legendary singers born in the blissful decade, 1919-1929. The Legends were Md. Rafi saab, Mukesh ji, Hemant dada, Manna da, Kishore Kumar ji and Lata Mangeshkar ji. The opening song of the concert was "Ae mere watan ke logon" written by Kabi Pradeep and composed by C.Ramchandra. It was first performed by Lata Mangeshkar ji on Republic Day too. Srinivas Achar Dammur and team wonderfully recreated the whole music, aptly sung by Samanvitha Sharma and Shruti Bhide with a mesmerising impact created by Sodha Brothers Kishore Sodha and Raj Sodha. on their trumpet and saxophone. Vijay Vijis sound and lighting took it to another level
