Having spent nearly two decades in the wedding industry, I’ve seen both sides:

These factors do justify many costs, but let’s be honest—sometimes, the label “wedding” inflates prices unfairly.

𝟓 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐌𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞.

Leading a team means the pressure is part of the job. But over time, I’ve turned those high-stakes moments into opportunities for growth.

Here’s my playbook for staying calm, composed, and effective:

1️⃣ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲
When chaos strikes, the impulse is to react instantly—but that’s a mistake. Instead, I pause, breathe, and focus on priorities.
❌ “We need to fix everything right now!”
✅ “Let’s break this down into steps and tackle it together.”
Ask yourself: What’s the one thing I can address right now to create progress?

2️⃣ 𝐁𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥
Your team needs honesty and a clear plan. I make it a point to share the challenge and encourage collaboration.
❌ “It’s fine; everything’s under control.”
✅ “Here’s the issue we’re facing, and here’s how we’ll approach it together.”
This approach inspires confidence and empowers the team to contribute solutions.

3️⃣ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 & 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜
Under pressure, I speak as I would in any other moment—calm, direct, and genuine. Authenticity over theatrics, always.
Tip: Don’t overcomplicate your language. Speak as if you’re having a one-on-one conversation.

You need to read the room—be it a boardroom or a ballroom. If you focus solely on logistics and forget the people, you’ll miss the mark.
