Meet 32 year old Bianca Dias , a civil engineer by profession is also the founder of Offtrail Adventures, one of Goa’s first trekking expedition companies. “I must have been about twelve years old when I attended a Diwali camp that involved rock climbing and camping. It was awesome,” Dias recalls. So awesome, that for three consecutive years, Dias attended the camp, befriending the members of the organizing committee which led to her first mountaineering expedition. “I was 16 and though a trip like that cost a lot back then, I fell in love with the mountains and I just had to go,” she says, adding that after her first successful expedition, the organisers decided to invite Dias on board as a volunteer, which meant that she no longer had to pay for trips, till she eventually became a member of the group, making yearly treks.
