दुःखद सूचना

बड़े ही दुःख के साथ सूचित करना पड़ रहा है कि वर्धमान कॉलेज के खेल कूद एवं शारीरिक शिक्षा विभाग में असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर पद पर कार्यरत डॉ शान्तनु सिंह काकरान जी का आज दिल्ली के एक हॉस्पिटल में इलाज़ के दौरान निधन हो गया। यह हमारे महाविद्यालय के लिए अपूरणीय क्षति है।

आज दिनांक 29 मार्च 2024 वर्धमान कॉलेज बिजनौर के मैदान पर प्रथम राजेंद्र कुमार जगत प्रकाश मेमोरियल अंडर 14 बालक वर्ग क्रिकेट टूर्नामेंट 2023-24 का शुभारंभ वर्धमान कॉलेज बिजनौर के खेल मैदान पर प्राचार्य सी एम जैन , प्रो. राजीव जोहरी , प्रो. एस के शोन , डॉ जितेंद्र विश्वकर्मा द्वारा किया गया।
वर्धमान क्रिकेट अकादमी समिति और खेल समिति , वर्धमान कॉलेज द्वारा आयोजित टी-20 नॉकआउट फॉर्मेट का यह टूर्नामेंट बी.सी.सी.आई. के नियमों आधार पर खेला जा रहा है जिसमे पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश की आठ टीमें प्रतिभाग कर रही हैं।

प्रतियोगिता का प्रथम मैच मे एन. सी.ए. अकादमी नूरपुर और शिखर क्रिकेट एकेडमी धामपुर के बीच खेला गया जिसमें नूरपुर ने धामपुर को 60 रन से हराया ।

दूसरे मैच मे वर्धमान क्रिकेट अकादमी बिजनौर ने किरतपुर अकादमी को 83 रन से हराया ।

जैसा कि आप सभी जानते हैं कि हमने अपने पूर्व छात्रों को आमंत्रित किया है कि वे अपने वर्धमान कॉलेज में अध्ययनरत जीवनानुभव से सम्बंधित एक वीडियो बनाकर हमसे साझा करें, जिसे हम अपने फेसबुक पेज आदि सोशल मीडिया पर शेयर करेंगे।

We are thankful to Dr. Khanna for sending us this message. While he aimed for Medical after his 12th, he enrolled for B.Sc. in VCB in the year 1972 and was guided by the teachers to achieve his dreams. Dr. Khanna is settled abroad since 1983, after pursuing his Medical Education from UP itself. Let us hear from him as he talks about the role of VCB in his life.
