On behalf of our Academy and the office bearers, We r extremely happy to organise the concert of Shri.Ranganathsarma with Smt.Sunitha Harisankar on Violin and mridangam by Palakkad A.M.Harinarayanan at holy land of Adisankara and temple where he has spent his child hood days. Saraswathi devi at Avanamkode is a Swayambhu deity..
Adi Sankaracharyar began his journey into the world of knowledge from here. When he was a young boy, he visited this temple near to his birthplace, Kalady, with his mother and wrote the holy first letters "Harishree Ganapathaye Namaha" and "Saraswathi Namasthubhyam" on rice grains. Later, he visited the temple on his journey to other parts of India to establish Mutts.

Really great to see Anagha Manikantan: is getting 'Neelakanta Sivan' “Saraswathy Ram Child Artist” from legendary musician Sangeetha kalanidhi T.V.Gopalakrishnan

Anagha Manikantan
Hailing from a family of musicians, Anagha inherited her musical prowess from her father and guru, Guruvayoor Dr. T V Manikandan, a professor at the University of Delhi's faculty of Music and Fine Arts. Guided by the eminent Violin Maestro Padma Bhushan, Sangita Kalanidhi Prof. T. N. Krishnan, Anagha had her formal debut performance in 2019.

Initiating her musical journey at the age of 7, Anagha has graced renowned stages such as the T N Krishnan Foundation in Chennai and performed at prestigious venues like the Sri Krishna Temple Guruvayoor in Kerala. Her notable appearances include events at the India International Center, Triveni Chamber Theater, Ilaya Bharatam, and the Dilliyil Tiruvayyaru series of Delhi Tamil Sangam.

Beyond the borders of India, Anagha showcased her talent as a cultural ambassador in Japan, representing India as part of the Japanese Government's cultural exchange program in 2019. She also participated in the Malaysia International Carnatic Music Festival 2021.

Anagha's achievements include being a panelist on Yuvavani, All India Radio, receiving the Young Vocalist Award from Sanatan Sangit Samiti, and winning the Gold Medal for Classical Singing from Nehru Bal Samiti Delhi. She was honored with the CCRT scholarship in 2012 by the Government of India and has received awards such as the Bala Krishnan Memorial Award from Gayatri Fine Arts and the V. Nataraja Iyer Memorial Award from Tala Bhakthi. She is also a winner of the National Yuva Pratibha Singing Talent Hunt in 2023, a competition adjudged by renowned artists Padma Bhushan Smt. Sudha Raghunathan and Padma Shri Sh. Shankar Mahadevan. She was a finalist for the MS Subbulakshmi Voice of the Year Award conducted by The Hindu in 2022.

Great to see Vishal Sowmyan is getting "Neelakanta Sivan Young Talent Award -2023" from legendary musician Sangeethakalanidhi T.V.Gopalakrishnan

Vishal Sowmyan has been learning violin since the age of 4 and is currently under the tutelage of Padmashri Sangeetha kalanidhi Guru A Kanyakumari. Vishal has won several prizes in Carnatic music competitions and regularly performs concerts and tours around the country at centers including the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Cleveland Aradhana. He is the recipient of the junior musician of the year award for winning the advanced category instituted by the Carnatic Music Association of North America (CMANA).Vishal has played in prestigious sabhas in India during the December Music Festival . He regularly accompanies visiting artists from India. He is currently studying at Emory University

Really great to see Dr.Sanjay Subramanian is getting "Neelakanta Sivan “N.Ramaraj-Award”

Dr. Sanjay, a dedicated Critical Care physician, seamlessly blends the worlds of medicine and music. Initially trained in Delhi under the guidance of Sri S V Ramani and Smt Lakshmi Ramaswamy, disciples of Mysore Vasudevachar, he embarked on a musical journey that continued alongside his medical education.

A significant turning point came when he found mentorship in the renowned musician and musicologist, Sangita Kalanidhi Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. Under Santhanagopalan's tutelage, Sanjay evolved into a concert-level musician. Complementing this, he expanded his repertoire by learning compositions from eminent musicians like Sri PS Narayanaswami.

Beyond the medical field, Sanjay is deeply involved in promoting Carnatic Classical Vocal. In 2008, he established the Abhinay School of Music and Dance, offering both online and in-person training to aspiring students. Additionally, as the Founder and President of Abhinay Fine Arts, a non-profit organization in the greater Seattle area, he has played a pivotal role in promoting Indian Classical Music and dance.

Sanjay's passion for teaching extends to organizing workshops, particularly focusing on 'manodharma sangeetham,' and he has been a regular performer during the music season in Chennai since 2006. Notably, his leadership led to the creation of the first-ever Carnatic Music choir in the Seattle area in 2016, featuring over 100 participants—an accomplishment that reflects his commitment to fostering a vibrant cultural community. Dr. Sanjay's dual commitment to healing and harmony continues to make a positive impact in both the medical and musical realms.
