On August 7, 2025, Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies continued its warm welcome with Day 2 of the Freshers’ Inauguration Ceremony.
The campus once again came alive with enthusiasm as we greeted another vibrant batch of students and their families, all eager to begin their journey at Vels.
We were honoured to have Mr. R. Rangaraj Pandey, renowned journalist and Founder & CEO of Chanakyaa, as our chief guest. His powerful address on critical thinking, communication, and embracing opportunities inspired students to approach their academic life with curiosity and courage.

Students explored the dynamic culture of VISTAS through engaging sessions, club introductions, and captivating cultural performances that reflected the spirit of our campus.

With two days of celebration and connection, the batch of 2025 is off to a meaningful start. Here’s to a future of growth, excellence, and transformation!

On August 6, 2025, Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies warmly welcomed thousands of new students and their families for Day 1 of the Freshers’ Inauguration Ceremony.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement, joy, and anticipation as students embarked on their academic journey. The highlight of the day was an inspiring and entertaining session by actor and philanthropist KPY Bala, whose humour and heartfelt message left a lasting impression.

The university leadership reaffirmed VISTAS’ commitment to holistic education, encouraging academic excellence, sports, extracurricular engagement, and communication skill development.

After a grand lunch that brought everyone together, students were introduced to various clubs, the Vels Student Connect platform, and enjoyed cultural performances that showcased the vibrant student life on campus.

We now look forward to welcoming the next batch of freshers on Day 2!
