The Temple of Fine Arts mourns the loss of Pandit Chandrakant Kapileshwari, who passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 89. Chandrakantji, from a renowned musical family in Maharashtra, had a distinguished career as a vocalist, performing globally and teaching many students. He joined TFA in the early 1990s, becoming a music Guru and Music Director in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. He formed the 'Naad Brahma' orchestra, which performed widely and embraced musicians of all levels. Chandrakantji has left a tremendous legacy for us at TFA. Many of our teachers and artists were inspired by his orchestral works and were motivated to carry forward what he began to reach greater heights. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and have them in our prayers.
