On the ausicious occasion of GANESH CHATURTHI, Odissi International Centre presented Odissi and Folk dance recitals in katwaria sarai & lado sarai on 31st august and in ghaziabad on 1st September.

We presented - Namami vighnaraj (Manglacharan) Lord Ganesh,
Performed by the Junior disciples of OIC and performed, Radha rani sanghe nache (Abhinaya) by the senior disciples.

WE FEEL BLESSED TO HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY OF PRESENTING OUR OFFEINGS TO LORD JAGANNATH Through OUR ART FORM.♥️🌺💐

On the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra, Odissi International Centre presented Odissi and Folk Dance recitals in Jagannath temple, Sree Neelachala Seva Sangh, Hauz Khas on July 2022.

The evening was inaugurated by a Manglacharan piece- Namami Vighnaraj- evoking Lord Ganesha, performed by the junior disciples of OIC
This was followed by an Abhinaya presentation-Radha Rani Sanghe Naache-by the senior disciples. This abhinaya is woven around one of the most playful episodes from the story of Lord Krishna and Radha and their celebration of love with colours.

The third presentation was Ashtapadi from Geeta Govinda- Hari Riha Mugdha- which through the eyes of a Mugdha Nayika, celebrates the beauty and glory of Lord Krishna. The deity and the lover merges into one being and becomes the object of inexplicable love, adoration and adulation through the character of the Mugdha Nayika. This was a solo dance presentation by senior disciple Karishma Sahoo.

The last presentation of the evening was a Group Folk Dance by the senior disciples- Mo ana re Ali- which by it's most upbeat and authentic folk rhythms from the land of Odisha was able to inspire mirth and glee amongst the audience.

We feel blessed to have had the opportunity of presenting our offerings to Lord Jagannath through our artform.
