The NRA will conduct the Common Eligibility Test (CET) to screen/shortlist candidates for jobs in government sector for which recruitment is currently carried out through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)

NRA will conduct only preliminary screening of candidates. The final recruitment will be done through domain specific examinations/tests to be conducted by respective agencies viz. SSC, RRBs and IBPS. Based on the score obtained in CET conducted by NRA, candidates may appear in domain specific exam/tests to be conducted by respective recruitment agencies

The agriculture machinery division of Escorts Ltd got certification from the Central Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute for its electric tractor with the description “Escorts Limited, Farmtrac (26E) Agriculture Tractor manufactured by Escorts Limited”
The tractor manufacturer unveiled its electric tractor in 2017. In a statement to BSE the company said, “We had showcased futuristic and eco-friendly electric tractor concept in variants of mechanical and hydrostatic power transmission platform for sustainable and green agriculture.

There is demand for 2-3 billion IoT devices currently, and it is expected to increase to 5 billion over the next two-three years, the official added.

The incentive scheme is the latest initiative to drive domestic manufacturing after the ₹50,000-crore package under three schemes to attract large smartphone and component manufacturing companies to set up base here.

FCA, in a statement, said that the investment will be made to locally manufacture a mid-size, three-row SUV, assemble the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Cherokee vehicles in the country and launch a new version of its Jeep Compass SUV.
It is important to note that FCA currently has less than a 1% share of India’s passenger vehicle market and adding new vehicles to its portfolio will help the automaker to increase local sourcing of components, achieve better economies of scale, reduce costing and boost sales.

In October, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said through a tweet the company would enter India in 2021. Now, according to sources privy to the matter, the world’s most valued automobile corporation by market cap has sealed plans to resume bookings next month and start delivery by the end of the first quarter of 2021-22. Earlier, the company had opened bookings in 2016.
Tesla Model 3, the most affordable model to date, was first rolled out in 2017 and now has emerged as the world’s best selling all-electric car.
It will be imported as a completely built unit with the capability of charging in 15 minutes. The performance of Model 3 is the same story, offering 500 km of range, and a top speed of 162 mph while vrooming 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.

About 90% of the students completed their terminal exams between Sep-Nov 2020 and this is expected to increase action in this category indicating exciting times for freshers. Banerjee estimated the demand for freshers to succeed in the pre-Covid ranges by June 2021.
Some of the sectors that are driving the demand for freshers are IT, ecommerce, finTech, eduTech, auto, and EV phase in auto. BPO, bodily retail roles – entrance workplace/receptionist, retail retailer managers/executives, discipline gross sales, accountants have additionally seen a superb spike within the variety of jobs being posted in comparison with the final three months.

This announcement is monumental for India on the global motorsport stage, considering this is the first all-Indian team to compete internationally in endurance racing. Leading the charge for Racing Team India is none other than Narain Karthikeyan, India’s first F1 racer.
The team will compete in the LMP2 class, driving an ORECA 07 race car with complete technical support from defending Asian Le Mans Series champions, the Algarve Pro Racing Team. Fittingly, the car’s livery will sport the Indian tricolour.

The year 2020 has had a major impact on the travel industry. The travel restrictions due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic led to massive losses. To help keep up with the current demand trends, Google has launched a new Travel Insights tool.

They can be used by a chain of hotels, a small travel startup, or a booking agent to study the recent trends and act accordingly to cater to their potential customers and make necessary changes to bring things back on track.

The Google tool will give users Travel Insights which will help them understand and the inclination of travellers to certain places compared to before.

The findings show that 2 in 5 (40%) Indian professionals expect an increase in the number of new jobs (up from 19% in April), and 1 in 2 (53%) expect their companies to do better in the next 6 months, going into 2021.

This optimism also comes at a time when India’s economy is slowly opening up, and the hiring rate continues to recover steadily back to Pre-Covid levels with a 46% y-o-y growth as of October 2020, according to the survey.

Researchers from Tel Aviv University (TAU) have proven that the coronavirus can be killed efficiently, quickly, and cheaply using ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UV-LEDs). They believe that the UV-LED technology will soon be available for private and commercial use.

The researchers tested the optimal wavelength for killing the coronavirus and found that a length of 285 nanometers (nm) was almost as efficient in disinfecting the virus as a wavelength of 265 nm, requiring less than half a minute to destroy more than 99.9% of the coronaviruses. This result is significant because the cost of 285 nm LED bulbs is much lower than that of 265 nm bulbs, and the former are also more readily available.

Auto major Tata Motors on Thursday announced that the company has signed an agreement to purchase the balance 49% shareholding from the joint venture partner, Marcopolo SA in Tata Marcopolo Motors (TTML) for a cash consideration of INR 99.96 crore. After the purchase, TMML will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, the company said in a release.

Ola announced its entry into the electric ⚡️ vehicle segment following the acquisition of Etergo BV, a Netherland based electric scooter maker in May 2020. Finance for the same of around $400 million (Rs 2,950 crores) is via funding from Tiger Global, Matrix India, Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata, and others.
As a part of the electric mobility plan, Ola is in final stages of setting up what will be considered as the world’s largest scooter factory. Once complete, this plant will have to capacity of 2 million units per annum.

The EV maker says it will open up retail presence in these cities in a staggered manner by Q1 2021 and will begin by setting up test rides to let consumers experience the vehicle. It has also been talking to prospective retail partners in these markets and has already begun locating spaces to set up its fast EV charging network, Ather Grid.

In the 11 markets that Ather has presence in, more than 60 charging points are already installed with more in the pipeline.
