The Hockey India has declared Telangana Hockey as the sole body responsible towards promoting the sport in Telangana. It also has the recognition of the Telangana Olympic Association and the Sports Authority of Telangana State. Telangana Hockey is represented by Padmasri N.Mukesh Kumar as Secretary , Mukesh Kumar needs all the accolades because he has been the face of Hyderabad hockey not only dur
ing his halcyon days but even today when his mentorship qualities are sought by the younger generation. Alas, it is going waste because there is a dearth of quality coaching centres. The ones that are available do not earn a decent livelihood. There is disillusionment because of lack of employment opportunities under sports quota. This is what prompted Padmasri N Mukesh Kumar to join hands with Techno Entreprenuer Mr. Kotha Amarender Reddy to form Telangana Hockey, along with few senior hockey members. Telanganga Hockey aims to provide quality training to players for all 10 districts of Telangana and opportunity to represent at the national and international level games as supported by Hockey India.
