We first came across Anisha when we saw her performing in a local pub towards the end of March. She belted out songs with such ease and elegance and in that moment, we knew we had to make her a part of season 2. So we invited her to record and perform for us sometime back. For Bloom sessions, she performs her original- 'half-scribbled nothings' among other covers accompanied by a guitar played by her friend. Her original is about two people falling for each other in the background of covid as she explains during the performance. It's also about longingness and figuring out a relationship and the uncertainties that lies ahead. Anisha knows her craft and she does it with a silent but strong confidence, familiarity and deep emotional connect. Her lyrics are relatable, hopeful inspired by everyday circumstances and people. She doesn't overdo it, it's just right, subtle and emotional. Her song remains in your head long after you've listened to it. We had a ball watching her perform and are so excited to share it with all of you and we hope this is just a first of the many. Anisha is surely one to watch. Anisha is A Singer/songwriter based in Kalimpong and has been in the underground music scene since early 2014.
